Our clients reached out to us to help them create a stylish, comfortable, and welcoming living room with Modern-Traditional “Anthro” vibes. They wanted a TV-free zone where they could curl up with a coffee and a book, or a cocktail and good friends. The space was essentially empty when we started this project. Our clients like a mix of styles — traditional, mid-century modern, contemporary, bohemian, modern organic, and touches of glam — and were struggling to pick a direction for the room. The gorgeous mirror was a great jumping off point to help us nail down the style direction. Above all, our clients knew they wanted to create a sophisticated space with pieces that are unique, yet practical and functional, that was eclectic in style, yet orderly and uncluttered. We dubbed this room the #whiskeylounge for the beautiful and expandable (and well-stocked!) bar cabinet that sits in the corner.

This kitchen isn’t just a pretty face—it’s built to perform!
Think maxed-out storage, a massive island that does it all, bold finishes, and plenty of room to breathe.
Want your kitchen to do more?
Here are ways to get the most out of your space:
Take cabinets all the way up—more storage, less clutter.
Use your island for seating, prep, and storage.
Mix light and dark finishes for a modern, balanced look.
We also added open shelving.
Open shelving isn't just about storage—it’s about creating a stunning focal point that breathes life into your kitchen!
Here, we designed custom floating shelves that seamlessly integrate with the surrounding space, thanks to a striking backsplash tile that continues from the kitchen walls.
The result? A cohesive, elevated aesthetic that balances both beauty and practicality.
Maximize your open shelving with these design tips:
Curate with intention – Display a mix of functional and decorative pieces to create visual interest: cookbooks, plateware, and art.
Stick to a color palette – Keep it cohesive by coordinating dishware, frames, and accessories.
Layer textures – Combine ceramics, glass, and natural elements like wood or greenery for added depth.
Prioritize accessibility – Keep everyday essentials within reach while showcasing special pieces up top.

As we start to notice the vibrant colors of spring beginning to peek through last week’s snowstorm, it’s the perfect time to unveil one of our recent primary bath renovations. Led by Project Manager, Steve Shanholtz, and Designers, Justina Auer and Sarah Domery, this project was a collaborative effort from start to finish. Our clients came to us with their flooring tile already selected, serving as the catalyst for our creative vision. It’s hard to find the centerpiece of this space, as so many aspects of the room elicit a “Wow!” reaction. With a palette of lush greens and crisp whites, this renovation is a testament to the beauty of renewal and rejuvenation. The Cambria Clifton countertop seamlessly carries the essence of green throughout the space with tiny pops of a bold black hardware adding to the sophistication of this modern bath – a striking choice against the pristine white cabinetry. Practicality meets elegance in the shower with the use of Onyx walls, chosen for their easy maintenance without compromising on style. A thoughtful rearrangement of the sink allowed for the addition of a linen cabinet, providing ample storage for towels and bath essentials. We are so proud of the impeccable work by our guys in the field, especially our lead carpenter on this project, Brian Halme. As we usher in the season of renewal, there’s no better time to breathe new life into your home. Give us a call so we can transform your space into a sanctuary of style and comfort!

The Carrington’s primary walk-in closet offers a spacious, well-organized dressing area designed for both functionality and style. Custom built-in shelving, ample hanging space, and thoughtfully placed open storage provide room for wardrobe essentials, shoes, and accessories. A neutral color palette and clean, modern finishes keep the space feeling bright, open, and effortlessly organized — a practical extension of the home’s serene, contemporary primary suite.

This master bath remodel in Calabasas exudes elegance with its custom wood cabinetry and luxurious marble shower. The built-in storage offers both functionality and style, seamlessly blending into the design while providing ample space for linens and bathroom essentials. The walk-in shower is lined with stunning marble, complemented by sleek chrome fixtures and a thoughtfully placed grab bar for added safety and comfort. The minimalistic glass enclosure enhances the open feel, allowing natural light to flow throughout the space. The homeowner's goal was to create a spa-like atmosphere, inspired by a recent stay at a luxury hotel, resulting in a serene and practical master bath retreat

The homeowners wanted more privacy, smarter storage, and a modernized layout—so we reimagined the space to fit their needs.
To improve privacy, we enclosed the toilet area with a new door while keeping natural light from the existing window. We tied the space together with Alluro tile from Esmer Tile, a stunning parquet-style marble mosaic that adds a timeless touch.
For better storage, we installed a custom built-in vanity, giving each user dedicated space to keep essentials organized and within reach.
The tub-to-shower conversion was both an aesthetic and practical update, creating a more open and accessible layout.

This completed compact kitchen uses an L-shaped layout and full-height cabinetry to provide generous storage without making the room feel visually heavy. Matte white, handleless fronts create a clean backdrop, while the continuous wood-look worktop and backsplash bring warmth and make the preparation area feel cohesive. Black details define the composition, and a slim illuminated glass cabinet adds character without sacrificing practicality. Appliances and the boiler are integrated into the cabinetry, keeping essential technical elements accessible but visually discreet.

A Modern, Efficient Laundry Room
As part of the remodel, the laundry room received a complete overhaul to match the kitchen's seamless aesthetic. Custom upper and lower cabinetry keeps cleaning supplies, laundry essentials, and linens neatly organized and out of sight.
The washer and dryer were thoughtfully repositioned for better flow, with a built-in folding counter above and full-height cabinets flanking each side for additional storage. A clean, neutral palette mirrors the kitchen's design, creating a cohesive feel throughout the home.
Soft lighting, durable countertops, and sleek hardware make this laundry room not just practical, but truly enjoyable to spend time in — a rare feature in most homes.

When only one or two people can reasonably be in the kitchen at a given time in a household that is full of people, it’s time to think about possibilities for creating a space where everyone has a spot to fit in. The kitchen in this 1920s Tudor home was dark, constrained, and cut off from the rest of the house. These aspects made for limited functionality when entertaining guests. The goal of this renovation, designed by Kasa Architecture and K&L Interiors, sought to eliminate those characteristics while keeping in the period of the home.
One of the first things completed was to widen the opening which connects the dining room and kitchen. This created more space for the movement of people during a gathering and brightened up both rooms. The fixtures, hardware, and wallpaper were thoughtfully chosen by K&L Interiors to unite the spaces in a style reminiscent of the 1920s. The crown molding throughout the kitchen and the entryway was custom made to match the original.
Next, an extended island was added to the kitchen to provide versatile counter space for entertaining as well as a casual seating area. The island was designed to accommodate a beverage fridge at one end which in turn saves room in the main refrigerator for other things.
Additionally, the doorway at the back of the kitchen was widened and new French doors were installed. This enhanced the kitchen by adding light and easier access to the back deck. In order to widen the back door, the original exterior brick had to be removed. To keep the house looking true to its original appearance, the brick had to be matched and replaced once the doors were installed.
In a small kitchen maximizing space is essential. The design of this renovation accomplished this by re-purposing an existing coat closet. One of the walls in the closet was extended into the entryway of the home and then that space was turned into a walk-in pantry. Other ways storage was generated and counter space maximized was to put a knife block and coffee station enclosed behind cabinet doors.
The end result of this renovation is a bright and open space defined by the period and style of the 1920s with added functionality and practicality of modern times which encompasses casual and formal gatherings.
