The entry to this seaside cottage is adorned with a beautiful moon garden, with blooms of white that shimmer in the moonlight. A contrasting red, climbing rose adds drama.

The master bedroom is inspired by yachting in a palette of beige and rust. A textured silk rug is inset into the sunken bedroom while mirror above the bed and sconce lighting give shimmer to the ocean's view beyond. Shagreen leather panels are framed by figured walnut millwork; custom bronze pulls run the full length and width of the cabinet doors.

This show stopper, Houston Heights, impressive master bath proves just how much you can do when your space is limited. Universal Gray Sherwin Williams was used throughout the house. White shaker cabinetry with 10" chrome cabinet handles. Venatino Quartz was used to give a bit of warmth. Vintage and chrome 3 piece faucets with square undermount sinks and crystal lighting to give this place a bit of shimmer.

Recalling the Old World flavor of the Italian Countryside, this traditional kitchen features ivory plaster walls and reclaimed wood beams in a rich honey stain. The distressed and glazed finish of the center island coordinates with the walls, while its extra-thick wood top matches the stain of the perimeter cabinets. Topping the perimeter cabinetry is doubly thick quartzite with an ogee edge. The mosaic tile backsplash in shades of ivory, cream, and gold adds just the right amount of shimmer. Hanging above the island are a pair of gold and glass mini chandeliers which pull in the gold of the sconces that flank the limestone hood by Francois & Co. Bronze cabinet hardware adds a bit of jewelry to this hard-working space. A glimpse of beautiful blue linen draperies in the living room can be seen through the doorway.

Hamptons-Inspired Kitchen
One cannot help but feel a distinct sense of serenity and timeless beauty when entering this Hamptons-style kitchen. Bathed in natural light and shimmering with inspired accents and details, this complete kitchen transformation is at once elegant and inviting. Plans and elevations were conceived to create balance and function without sacrificing harmony and visual intrigue.
A metal custom hood, with an eye-catching brass band and impeccably balanced cabinets on either side, provides a strong focal point for the kitchen, which can be viewed from the adjacent living room. Brass faucets, hardware and light fixtures complement and draw further attention to this anchoring element. A wall of glass cabinetry enhances the existing windows and pleasantly expands the sense of openness in the space.
Taj Mahal quartzite blends gracefully with the cabinet finishes. Cream-tone, herringbone tiles are custom-cut into different patterns to create a sense of visual movement as the eyes move across the room. An elegant, marble-top island paired with sumptuous, leather-covered stools, not only offers extra counterspace, but also an ideal gathering place for loved ones to enjoy.
This unforgettable kitchen gem shines even brighter with the addition of glass cabinets, designed to display the client’s collection of Portmeirion china. Careful consideration was given to the selection of stone for the countertops, as well as the color of paint for the cabinets, to highlight this inspiring collection.
Breakfast room
A thoughtfully blended mix of furniture styles introduces a splash of European charm to this Hamptons-style kitchen, with French, cane-back chairs providing a sense of airy elegance and delight.
A performance velvet adorns the banquette, which is piled high with lush cushions for optimal comfort while lounging in the room. Another layer of texture is achieved with a wool area rug that defines and accentuates this gorgeous breakfast nook with sprawling views of the outdoors.
Finishing features include drapery fabric and Brunschwig and Fils Bird and Thistle paper, whose natural, botanic pattern combines with the beautiful vistas of the backyard to inspire a sense of being in a botanical, outdoor wonderland.

The neutral area rug has a beautiful subtle texture and is composed of hand-knotted wool with viscose accents for a little shimmer. It provides the perfect contemporary canvas to showcase the other furnishings and adds softness to the room. On the near side of the sectional is a 20-inch Aero round side table which has a cast metal pedestal base with a reclaimed wood top repurposed from 100-year-old solid elm doors. The artwork hanging over the fireplace was created by an Italian artist in Venice and purchased by the homeowners during their time in Italy.

The goal for this entire home was to design everything in black & white and keep each room interesting, well design, sophisticated and most of all, timeless.
A great entryway sets the tone for the rest of your home and prepares you for what’s next. I designed this entryway to be tasteful well design but bold and dramatic to keep you interested. I wanted everyone that entered this house to start thinking in their mind “I want to see more!”
The lighting and artwork I picked out were all out of my clients’ comfort zone, but they trusted me enough to go with my design. I love it when my clients aren’t afraid to take the risk, it always pays off at end!

The sofa is upholstered in indoor/outdoor fabric by Kravet, and makes into a Queen-Sized bed. For a bit of privacy, and a nod to 1960's beaded curtains, glittery floral openwork drapes, pull across when needed. How do you go modern in a Mediterranean home? You meet in the middle with a transitional style! Inspiration for a mid-sized timeless master gray tile and stone tile porcelain tile alcove shower remodel in Orlando with an undermount sink, recessed-panel cabinets, white cabinets, quartzite countertops, a one-piece toilet and gray walls

Aerial view of two granite bridges traversing the shimmering dry garden of white marble stone. In summer, the brown becomes a carpet of soft moss that tickles the toes.

This waterfront pool project in Beaconsfield reimagines a transitional backyard by fusing timeless warmth with crisp modern geometry. At its heart lies a custom concrete pool whose expansive beach entry pool—also known as a generous tanning ledge—slopes gently into the water, delivering the relaxed feel of a private resort. A frameless glass pool fence with low-iron panels preserves unobstructed lake vistas while ensuring safety, allowing the pool’s shimmering surface to merge visually with the open water beyond.
Anchoring the far end of the basin is a dramatic outdoor fire feature that rises directly from the waterline. By day it acts as a sculptural focal point; by night the flames ripple across the water, transforming the space into a show-stopping luxury swimming pool experience. Every contour, drainage line, and equipment specification was shaped by Northstone’s in-house landscape architect design team and executed by our 180-strong crew of specialists, reinforcing our reputation as the go-to Beaconsfield pool builder for bespoke, high-end projects.
Because Northstone is an entirely in-house design build firm, we streamline all stages—city permits, excavation, steel placement, shotcrete, and finishing—under a single roof. This turnkey approach distinguishes us among Montreal pool construction companies and ensures flawless craftsmanship in every pour. It is also why clients seeking a custom pool contractor to create a resort-style backyard consistently choose Northstone.
That commitment to quality has earned us the #1 ranking for landscaping on bestinMTL.com and the top spot for pool design-build on bestmontrealservices.com. Our work has been showcased in Dwell, House & Home, the Montreal Gazette, and Living Luxe Magazine, underscoring our status as Montreal’s premier high-end pool company for luxury outdoor living on lakefront properties.

Open concept kitchen - huge modern galley dark wood floor open concept kitchen idea in Chicago with a double-bowl sink, flat-panel cabinets, white cabinets, quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances and an island

This kitchen was designed for a very active family. The goal was light, bright, and functional.
Matte finish Caesarstone counters and Smudge Proof stainless appliances all help Mom keep maintenance to a minimum. We chose high gloss white cabinets with co-ordinating striation bases to give this Kitchen a clean and contemporary feel. The backsplash features a beautiful back painted glass subway tile with a soft off white pearlescent shimmer.
The Kitchen needed to pack a lot of punch functionally for optimal storage capacity. Interior Designer Rael Hay cleverly capitalized on every square inch even devising a “Command Centre” for Mom - complete with homework organizer, family calendar, additional storage and Charging Station ready for the lap top.
