Caine & CompanyThis remodel was for a family that purchased a new home and just moved from Denver. They wanted a traditional design with a few hints of contemporary and an open feel concept with the adjoining rooms. We removed the walls surrounding the kitchen to achieve the openness of the space but needed to keep the support so we installed an exposed wooden beam. This brought in a traditional feature as well as using a reclaimed piece of wood for the brick fireplace mantel. The kitchen cabinets are the classic, white style with mesh upper cabinet insets. To further bring in the traditional look, we have a white farmhouse sink, installed white, subway tile, butcherblock countertop for the island and glass island electrical fixtures but offset it with stainless steel appliances and a quartz countertop. In the adjoining bonus room, we framed the entryway and windows with a square, white trim, which adds to the contemporary aspect. And for a fun touch, the clients wanted a little bar area and a kegerator installed. We kept the more contemporary theme with the stainless steel color and a white quartz countertop. The clients were delighted with how the kitchen turned out and how spacious the area felt in addition to the seamless mix of styles.

Light gray walls (Sherwan Williams SW7015), Pure white trim is SW7005medium wood flooring and dark espresso stained stairs and banister. The flat stock double crown molding adds a sopistication and elegance, while the 7" wire brushed rustic white oak flooring in the color Dusk adds that dimension and interest.

We removed the wire racks above the laundry units and replaced them with stock cabinetry, painted the beige counter white, swapped out a broken plastic sink for a stainless steel option + new faucet, added luxury vinyl plank flooring, relocated the lights and added a junction box to have two matching chandeliers instead of one center light, added a custom surround for the laundry units that can easily open when necessary to get to the water shut off, added wallpaper, shirt hanging rod, two clothes hanging racks and a mirror to reflect all this happiness. Seller was THRILLED with this transformation and couldn't believe she had suffered a sad, dark laundry room for years prior. This was NOT an expensive re-do either - just looks like it!!

Robin's Nest InteriorsThe homeowners designed the cabinetry in the new Mudroom complete with decorative wire to hide doggie crates, a secret entrance to the litter box, a bench for putting on shoes, and a chalkboard for reminders. The brick flooring makes it feel like the space has been here forever. The lantern pendant is a welcoming touch. We added a cushion on the bench to bring in the orange color, and the leaf artwork on the wall ties that color to the wall color which is Sherwin Williams’ Comfort Gray (SW6205).
