This modern credenza would make the perfect storage cabinet in nearly any environment. It is handcrafted by us here in the USA utilizing only the highest quality materials and it’s made to last a lifetime. It sits atop a black platform base (wrapped in vinyl to give a little texture). The raised geometric pattern of the doors add a touch of modernism. It is a very versatile piece and would be well-suited as a modern TV stand/console, credenza, buffet, or stylish sideboard. Behind each door you’ll find an adjustable inner shelf for maximum flexibility. Push-to-open doors eliminate the need for handles or knobs on the front so as to not distract from the stylish, modern look of the doors. In addition to making these in many different widths and heights, we can also build yours in nearly any configuration. Want a more “open”, “airy” look? We can make yours with an open middle section (meaning doors only on the outsides). Or, need drawers? We can do that as well! It is shown here in rich brown walnut, but yours can be made in any of the woods shown on our wood options page. Other door colors are available as well. For a more vintage look, consider our vintage orange doors. Or, for a more Hollywood glam look, go bold with our gold! See our other items for examples in different color and configurations. Looking for a more mid-century look? Take a look at this unit with our tapered, gold spindle legs as opposed to the platform base. For many years of trouble-free use, we use only top-of-the-line hardware (hinges, push to open mechanisms) from Blum and Salice. Only the highest quality furniture-grade veneers are used as well. Like any natural material, expect some slight variations in grain and coloration. Using this to store electronic devices that need power? Let us know and we’re happy to add holes in the back for cables to exit for no additional charge. Need a different width? Yours can be made with any number of doors. Part of a major renovation that touched all corners of a 120-year-old Bloomfield home, this project is full of style and charming Victorian details. As an avid home cook, one of our client’s top priorities was maximizing storage throughout the space. To make the compact kitchen more functional, we removed a small peninsula containing the sink and dishwasher which was splitting the space in half. We also adjusted the size of the windows, bringing them above countertop height which allowed for a new “U-shaped” layout. What this room lacked in useable wall space was made up for in height — we took advantage of the generous 9-foot tall space, bringing the custom cabinetry all the way to the ceiling. Our client also opted for a slightly smaller Euro-style refrigerator, allowing for even more storage along that wall. Central to the refrigerator, eco-friendly induction range, and farmhouse style sink, a hand carved antique Spanish work table provides the perfect prep zone, complete with an adjustable high-low fluted ceramic pendant above. A few other places where form meets function: a brass hanging rail along the range wall, a custom integral drainboard in the soapstone countertop, under cabinet lighting and hidden outlets, cushioned anti-fatigue Marmoleum sheet flooring, and a show-stopping gantry style faucet in a living unlacquered brass finish.

This new modern house is located in a meadow in Lenox MA. The house is designed as a series of linked pavilions to connect the house to the nature and to provide the maximum daylight in each room. The center focus of the home is the largest pavilion containing the living/dining/kitchen, with the guest pavilion to the south and the master bedroom and screen porch pavilions to the west. While the roof line appears flat from the exterior, the roofs of each pavilion have a pronounced slope inward and to the north, a sort of funnel shape. This design allows rain water to channel via a scupper to cisterns located on the north side of the house. Download our free ebook, Creating the Ideal Kitchen. DOWNLOAD NOW The homeowners came to us looking to update the kitchen in their historic 1897 home. The home had gone through an extensive renovation several years earlier that added a master bedroom suite and updates to the front façade. The kitchen however was not part of that update and a prior 1990’s update had left much to be desired. The client is an avid cook, and it was just not very functional for the family. The original kitchen was very choppy and included a large eat in area that took up more than its fair share of the space. On the wish list was a place where the family could comfortably congregate, that was easy and to cook in, that feels lived in and in check with the rest of the home’s décor. They also wanted a space that was not cluttered and dark – a happy, light and airy room. A small powder room off the space also needed some attention so we set out to include that in the remodel as well. See that arch in the neighboring dining room? The homeowner really wanted to make the opening to the dining room an arch to match, so we incorporated that into the design. Another unfortunate eyesore was the state of the ceiling and soffits. Turns out it was just a series of shortcuts from the prior renovation, and we were surprised and delighted that we were easily able to flatten out almost the entire ceiling with a couple of little reworks. Other changes we made were to add new windows that were appropriate to the new design, which included moving the sink window over slightly to give the work zone more breathing room. We also adjusted the height of the windows in what was previously the eat-in area that were too low for a countertop to work. We tried to keep an old island in the plan since it was a well-loved vintage find, but the tradeoff for the function of the new island was not worth it in the end. We hope the old found a new home, perhaps as a potting table. Rectangular Shaker style bathroom with a slight arch at the front featuring a Toto Neorest “magic toilet”. It’s a mother’s dream. When you approach it, the seat goes up. Once your business is finished, on a comfortably heated seat I might add, it flushes automatically and the seats close. There is also a built-in heated bidet - a Covid-19 "who cares if you run out of toilet paper because now, we hardly use any” - epic coup!. Also featuring Brizo brushed gold faucetry, a bubble massage soaking tub, porcelain subway tile in the tub/shower area only; the other walls have nickel shiplap wall treatment, The floor features mixed porcelain tiles in an octagon pattern. Lighted mirrors have adjusting light sensors.

Our clients had already remodeled their master bath into a luxurious master suite, so they wanted their powder bath to have the same updated look! We turned their once dark, traditional bathroom into a sleek bright transitional powder bath! We replaced the pedestal sink with a chrome Signature Hardware “Cierra” console vanity sink, which really gives this bathroom an updated yet classic look. The floor tile is a Carrara Thassos cube marble mosaic tile that creates a really cool effect on the floor. We added tile wainscotting on the walls, using a bright white ice beveled ceramic subway tile with Innovations “Chennai Grass” silver leaf wall covering above the tile. To top it all off, we installed a sleek Restoration Hardware Wilshire Triple sconce vanity wall light above the sink. Our clients are so pleased with their beautiful new powder bathroom! The client provided a unique collection of framed images of Napoleon Bonaparte which were collected over several decades. The images are hung on a custom gallery rail system designed. Holes were drilled through the stems of Visual Comfort picture lights to allow the gallery rods to pass through the lights. This allowed centering of the picture lights to each rod. The bookcase lights are from the same series but they were modified to accept a one inch diameter custom rosette. The cabinet hardware, as with all of the metal finishes in the room, is polished nickel and includes Baldwin flush ring pulls, Von Morris mortise butt hinges and Brusso ball catches. The beveled mirror and frame above the hearth is actually a Seura television mirror with Premier Glass. The television is completely undetectable when it is off and, when it is on, the picture is clear and bright. Undetectable behind the mirror is a Russound IR receiver that transfers IR signals to a cable box, DVD player, and Apple TV receiver located in the lower cabinets. The source components are connected to the television with HDMI cables. Bose wall-mounted speakers, positioned in the lower alcoves of the bookcase, are supplemented with a Sonos subwoofer placed under the sofa. Surrounding the mantle and mirror is a three inch wide frame, identical to the frame around the gallery wall, that allows the Chesney's Edinburgh Carrara marble mantle and the steel Andover register grate to be set back from the bookcases. The mantle rests securely on a hearth stone of honed black granite which was recessed into the concrete floor. Suspended within the grate is an EcoSmart Bioethonal burner specifically designed for historic register grates. Volcanic stone was placed between the burner and the grate to conceal the front of the burner. The bookcases, cabinets and wall paneling are fabricated from a combination of solid mahogany and mahogany plywood. Crown and base molding were eliminated from the design to minimize the impact of the library in an otherwise contemporary house. The fascia above the bookcases and mantle, as well as the fascia above the gallery wall, are single pieces of solid mahogany carefully shaved to follow the irregular contours of the drywall ceiling and eliminate the need for caulk or fillers. The same method was employed at the bottom rail of the face frame to allow it to follow the slight undulations of the concrete floor. Eloy Estrada built the wood components and installed them along with all of the other components in the room. The two adjustable height Galerie des Lamps floor lamps on either side of the mantle are from the Grasshopper series. The Visual Comfort Dorchester Pharmacy floor lamps, on either side of the sofa, plug into a recessed Lew electrical floor box that was recessd into the floor under the sofa. The room originally had a chandelier and recessed lights all of which were all removed. The Lutron light switches, in matte Midnight, allow for independent dimming of the bookcase and picture lights. Within three of the bookcase alcoves are Littlight gooseneck lamps used to highlight various artifacts. The outlets for these lamps, and their transformers, are concealed under a removable wood panel at the back of the alcove. The cords for the display lamps cleanly pass through a Mockett grommet. The layout of the room and gallery rail system were designed by Leland Stone.

The Cartesio is an elegant, iconic table featuring an original coated metal, weight-bearing frame consisting of 4 rectangular-section V-shaped separate elements. The top comes in wood veneer finish or slatted oak. The slatted oak top matched to a rust Corten-finished base lends a metropolitan appearance to this table. Its sculptural modern silhouette and solid lines will add character to the most classic and rigorous settings. The Cortesio is paired with the Anais Dining Chairs, Sipario Sideboard, and several Pom Pom Suspension Lamps, all by Calligaris.

To create the illusion of space in this 5' x 8' Eureopean-style bathroom, we continued the bold black and white mosaic Portugese floor tile into the shower, whose floor is just slightly recessed, and angled so water drains to the center. The rest of the bathroom is almost purely white and includes: - white floating vanity with modern water-saving chrome faucet - large white subway tile with mother of pearl accents including the mother of pearl-lined shampoo niche and vanity backsplash that goes all the way up to the ceiling which catches the light and adds a bit of bling. - Adjustable handheld shower - modern white dual flush toilet - floating shelves - Carrera marble countertop - deep, custom made medicine cabinet for extra storage - heated floor
