Maraya Interior Design created a new kitchen out of an old outdated space using white tile backsplashes and finding new porcelain tiles to match the old. Project Location: Thousand Oaks, California. We added oak where the old wall was and staggered the remaining tile into the new flooring. (The tile continues into the powder room, replacing it would have meant replacing that floor also.)

After! This beautifully updated kitchen features painted cabinetry, a new custom island, new appliances, new open access to the adjacent family room, a white subway tile backsplash in a herringbone pattern, a marble quartz countertop, black and white porcelain tile and a soft gray paint. The modern traditional pendant lights add a touch of whimsy.

This fun classic kitchen in Gold River features Columbia frameless cabinets in Sandy Hook grey. A green glass backsplash in a random matte and polished pattern complements the cabinets which are faced with both painted wood and frosted glass. The Silestone countertops in the Lyra finish have an ogee bullnose edge. The floors are finished in a rich brown porcelain tile of varying sizes that are made to resemble distressed wood.
