The client had partially remodeled the home a few years prior but said the kitchen did not have the right feel. In addition, its functionality was stunted by the layout. The two large ovens were shoved in a corner and inhibited the use of the nearby drawer space. Colors of the kitchen all blended together in a wash of cream. The countertops were marble and showing wear. Ultimately the client wanted a more functional kitchen, updated appearance, easy to use and something they would feel reflected the warmth of their family.
Visually the new kitchen is stunning. It combines an old world feel with some modern twists. The custom stone hood and large stoves became a focal point in the kitchen. The antiqued red island softens the look of the stoves, compliments the moss tones of the ceiling beams and creates a warm touch in the heart of the kitchen.
Perimeter counters are made of leathered Taj-Mahal granite, and the island is polished Typhoon Bordeaux granite. Above the island are hand blown glass pendants that give a little shimmer and sparkle to the old world feel. The Arabesque style handmade ceramic backsplash pulls together the tones from the cabinets, countertops and ceiling.
As part of our environmentally conscious building, we used KCMA (Kitchen Cabinet Manufactures Association) Environmental Stewardship Program certified cabinets and replaced all of the lighting with energy efficient lighting.
Outcome is warm, highly functional and inviting space for family and friends to gather.

The cabinet doors have an ivory painted finish and hand applied chocolate brown glaze. These raised-panel cabinets have full overlay doors and drawers and are constructed with high precision to maintain a 1/8” gap between every side of a door and drawer. There is a Delta faucet and soap dispenser, recessed light over the sink, and ceiling cans.
The countertops are Typhoon Bordeaux with an ogee edge. The backsplash tile is beige natural stone. The flooring is #3 character grade American Black walnut. The walls are painted with a deep shade of terra cotta. The cabinet hardware is oil rubbed bronze.

Great spacious bathroom with lot of amenities.

This was a before & after photo of a bamboo fence installed on a short wall. This added privacy to a short pony wall and gave a tropical look with dark stained trim. Both the owner and neighbor benefited from this installation.

The on-set of a neuromuscular disorder was the basis for this custom kitchen and required the complete customization of this space to the specific needs of the client, as well as to his wife who does most the cooking on a daily basis. The layout was designed for the couple to be able to work together in the kitchen, or independently.
An accessible prep area next to the stove allows plenty of room for multiple cooks in the kitchen. Note the placement of the microwave is not only ideal for wheelchair accessibility, but eliminates potentially dangerous overhead lifting of hot or heavy containers.
Although largely dictated by the husband's need for accessibility, the universal design of this kitchen is also extremely friendly for a person of smaller stature (his wife!)
The couple feels at home in this kitchen yet, it’s not obvious that someone with physical limitations utilizes this space.

This classic home was originally built in 1898. Since then, it has undergone several renovations, the most recent of which was the kitchen. The original kitchen was split between two rooms - a casually used butler's pantry and a well-used kitchen. By removing the wall between these two rooms the eating and cooking area was expanded so that the cooks could always be in touch with the family room and eating area. What resulted was an aesthetically classic kitchen that pleased the homeowners' s sense of style, and a comfortable, warm and inviting space that has great workflow for today's busy lifestyle and open space for socializing.

• A busy family wanted to rejuvenate their entire first floor. As their family was growing, their spaces were getting more cramped and finding comfortable, usable space was no easy task. The goal of their remodel was to create a warm and inviting kitchen and family room, great room-like space that worked with the rest of the home’s floor plan.
The focal point of the new kitchen is a large center island around which the family can gather to prepare meals. Exotic granite countertops and furniture quality light-colored cabinets provide a warm, inviting feel. Commercial-grade stainless steel appliances make this gourmet kitchen a great place to prepare large meals.
A wide plank hardwood floor continues from the kitchen to the family room and beyond, tying the spaces together. The focal point of the family room is a beautiful stone fireplace hearth surrounded by built-in bookcases. Stunning craftsmanship created this beautiful wall of cabinetry which houses the home’s entertainment system. French doors lead out to the home’s deck and also let a lot of natural light into the space.
From its beautiful, functional kitchen to its elegant, comfortable family room, this renovation achieved the homeowners’ goals. Now the entire family has a great space to gather and spend quality time.
