Using Neolith as the countertop material on the island gave the homeowner the concrete look she was looking for without the upkeep of using actual concrete. The color is Beton and offers the look and texture of concrete without the curing time, unknown stresses of popping the concrete out of the mold, and it holds up better, doesn't require future sealings and the versatility of the material allows the fabricator to drop mitre the edge to any desired thickness. Here, a 2.5" thick drop mitre edge was used.

Inspiration for a large modern home design remodel in Austin

The fireplace and mantel was original to the house, but the rest of the room lacked architectural detail to support this focal point. Architectural details were introduced through trim application. Our favorite detail is the doubled baseboard around the perimeter of the room. We further carried this detail into the legs of the traditional desk that our client has had for more than 30 years. By painting the bottom portion of the legs white, we created the illusion of a floating desk as the bottom portion of the legs blends into the background. Large traditional white two-story wood exterior home idea in Minneapolis with a shingle roof

These exterior wood Louvered shutters are made of California Redwood. The side stiles are 2-1/8" wide. The horizontal rails are 3" wide. The louvers are 1-1/2" x 1/4" and are fixed at a 17 degree angle. They have "Faux Tilt Rods" which are fixed in place and do not adjust the louver angle. They are installed with 1-1/2" offset NY Style Blind Hinges, and held open by Scroll Tiebacks with lag mount. The Pull Rings have a plate mount. The shutters are 15-3/4" x 61" tall. The louvers are sloped down to shed rain water away from the building.
