They came to see us at Archadeck for a solution to their outdoor problems. Incorporating the landscape and gardens was very important and the result feels more like an oasis than a backyard. Using pressure-treated wood and lattice we designed and built a multilevel deck with pergola on the upper level. Between the stairs to the lower level are built-in planters. The lower level leads onto the lawn where the homeowners have a beautiful garden.

Multi-level composite deck built off the rear of a large two-story home, overlooking an in-ground pool. The deck uses dark composite decking with a contrasting picture-frame border, black aluminum railing on white structural posts, and a wide curved staircase with a landing that steps down to the pool patio. The upper level holds a built-in grilling station and a dining area, with a hot tub set alongside. Designed as a low-maintenance transition between the house and the pool deck.

We converted an underused back yard into a modern outdoor living space. A cedar soaking tub exists for year-round use, and a fire pit, outdoor shower, and dining area with fountain complete the functions. A bright tiled planter anchors an otherwise neutral space. This space (called the Grotto) below the upper deck provides a place to relax and entertain friends. Move the table under the cover for a waterfront dining experience. The lumber is tight knot cedar with a Penofin finish.

The deck steps, with built in recessed lighting, span the entire width of the Trex deck and were designed to define the different outdoor rooms and to provide additional seating options when entertaining. Light brown custom cedar screen walls provide privacy along the landscaped terrace and compliment the warm hues of the decking.

Custom decorative concrete pavers surrounded by pebble stone line the entrance to this outdoor space. The modern landscaping composed of tight, linear plantings with hues of green provides privacy from neighboring properties. The deck steps span the entire width of the deck and have built-in recessed lighting so that the space is well-defined in the evening as well as the daytime.

This gorgeous multi level custom deck build features an upper deck area with stairs leading the main deck. The main deck area offers privacy with a covered cabana with screen. Just off the cabana is the main sun bathing area with steps leading to a beautiful pool.
