A close-up view of the custom coffered ceiling showcases the craftsmanship that elevates this kitchen renovation. The warm wood inlay pairs beautifully with the navy island below, while the clear glass pendants draw the eye upward. The ceiling detail creates a rich visual anchor that defines the kitchen within the open floor plan.

The staircase at Lux on the Lake proves that transitions deserve design attention, too. White oak treads and a matching handrail bring warmth against crisp white risers and paneled wainscoting, while slender iron balusters keep the look light and refined. Double candle sconces line the stairwell, casting a soft glow as the stairs turn upward. Classic materials, clean lines — craftsmanship you can feel with every step.

The grand entryway makes a dramatic first impression, drawing the eye upwards to the soaring wood-paneled ceiling and a cascading chandelier of hand-blown European glass pendants. The warm glow of the light fixtures illuminates a curated collection of commissioned artwork, adding a touch of sophistication and personality to the space. Floor-to-ceiling windows bathe the entry in natural light, showcasing the stunning views beyond and highlighting the intricate details of the custom metal railing that gracefully curves along the elegant staircase. We used an Art Deco chinese antique rug to bring color into the main dining area. The primary colors complimented the high-end Macassar dining table with the custom Macassar chairs upholstered in a dark gray european leather. To enlarge the room even further we found antique verre eglomisse mirror panels that fit perfectly into the recessed open space. Each of the interiors of the two niches were decorated in gold leaf with a beautiful art deco light radiating upwards. The antique Petitot chandelier with the bronze detailing connects the gold aspects in the room such as the niches, the custom panel above the french doors and the golden silk taffeta curtains.

This young family came to us looking to transform their yard into an area where they could easily entertain their guests. They were looking to add a seamless wraparound patio that meshed with the look of their existing home and garage. Concrete was chosen as the base of the patio, and was then topped with limestone slabs. A short retaining wall was added along the edge of the patio in the back to give the space more definition. Raised planters along the garage and a custom outdoor kitchen extend their living space to the outdoors. The designer chose to add lighting along the edge of the retaining wall giving the space a low, warm blanket of light. Bougainvillea was planted along the garage climbing upwards, providing a pop of color against the light coloring of the home. Holly trees were chosen to line the backyard fence, as well as the side yard along the street. This helped to provide a green wall of privacy and soften the stone facade.

This area was designed to showcase the simple collection of art in both the true form, and the utilitarian form,. With an emphasis to bring in touches of bright color that stand out against the warm background tones.

This stunning glass enclosed modern custom wine cellar was designed and installed by Vintage Cellars earlier this year. The Contemporary Custom Wine Room was fitted into an existing fireplace space, turning the visually unappealing sore thumb of the room into a magnificent show stopping centerpiece.
This modern luxury condo on the 31st floor in a downtown San Diego high-rise acted as a very interesting project for the custom wine cellar design team at Vintage Cellars. The modern wine room space has dual paned, insulated glass but because of the nature of glass itself, the cooling unit was recommended to be oversized.
The custom wine room space itself didn't have great options for venting the cooling unit due to the location on the 31st floor. The best option to vent was determined to treat the wine room as a wine cabinet, per se. The Cooling Unit, a CellarPro 1800 XTS, was placed in the ceiling, venting down cool air and circulating vented air back upward. The result works perfectly for a uniquely modern and contemporary space such as this.
This fully enclosed, glass front custom wine cellar boasts a 300 bottle capacity with a sleek, modern, label forward feel that ULTRA Wine Peg racking is known for. The center section is a double stacked full reveal display row, showcasing some of the homeowner's finer wines.
Though no particular space was made within the wine racking area, the design of this modern custom wine cellar was pushed back a couple of feet so that wine case storage could be an option between the glass front and the custom racking.
Additionally, the clean feel goes even further upon looking for the entrance into this wine cellar. The flat panel on the furthest left side opens slowly and almost magically when pushed in slightly. A great, modern touch!
A gorgeous, modern condo such as this is just begging to have a custom wine cellar. This space, with big help from this contemporary wine room, screams luxury upon entering. The clean, modern and sleek style within the home has found its match with an equally stunning custom wine room.

This Rancho Santa Fe living room design by master interior designer Susan Spath features custom upholstered furniture, clean lines, wrought iron interior lighting, fine accessories, ornate moulding, an arched entryway and a trayed ceiling. Fine furniture and accessories from Kern & Co.

The natural elements in this room are endless from the cork wall covering in the shelves to the wood blocks above the fireplace to the wood beams taken from old barns in northern part of the United States. All of this gives the room a much needed layer of texture and interest. The gray sectional serves as a nice backdrop to the color throw pillows. Two teal patterned slipper chairs flank the other side of the room to add more seating. An upholstered ottoman with acrylic legs serves as even more seating instead of the traditional cocktail table. Because of the dark color of the wood blocks, the television almost disappears. A hand knotted rug adorns the floor as a neutral, yet beautiful foundation for the furniture arrangement. Original artwork plays up the hues in the throw pillows and chairs.
