Every detail—from the dedicated library and office that make remote work actually “fun,” to the bike shop for my cycling fervor and the observation deck that frames our forest and pond views—reflects a deep understanding of how we live. Architectural Resource is a renowned expert in sustainable, off-the-grid design, and the AR team’s commitment to environmental stewardship is reflected in every corner of the property. The home is powered by solar and geothermal energy, and the site includes features like tiered landscaping and rain gardens to manage stormwater. Because of the team’s rigorous dedication to sustainability, our home achieved LEED Platinum certification—the highest honor given by that organization for homes that focus on environmental and human health. The house has also become the heart of our family life. AR’s guidance to “upsize” by including additional bedrooms was one of the best decisions we made; it has allowed us to host our entire family for the holidays, creating wonderful memories. Our kitchen, designed with dual appliances and an expansive island, has become the centerpiece for entertaining, while the separate four-season greenhouse—complete with features and utilities a Master Gardener could only dream of—has fulfilled my wife’s passion for planting. The team at Architectural Resource didn't just build us a house; they built us a sanctuary, where we can live out our lives in comfort and ease. If ever needed again, I would hire the AR team in a second. They turned our dreams into a reality that far exceeded what we thought was possible.
