Michael, Drew, Jennifer and the rest of the Toulmin team did a fantastic job for us. They were very easy to work with and had numerous suggestions on how to make our build better. That was very important because we didn't have a complete set of detailed plans to work from and did a lot of "designing on the spot", so to speak. We ended up with a beautiful 2,000 square foot home on the lake and have enjoyed many guests as well as some gorgeous, quiet evenings there. We always get the same response from our guests: "Wow!!" Thanks, Toulmin team, for making our experience one we really enjoyed. Duane & Suzanne Cunningham
Precision Homecrafters, LLC

The Precision Homecrafters design and construction team met with us to completely demolish, design and re-build our master bathroom suite and closet. The work was extensive and also included knocking out a brick wall and adding windows. There is extensive tile and woodwork done, all of which I would say is very high quality. Although this project was quite expensive for a bathroom remodel, we are very pleased with the results and very happy with the Precision team. I would highly recommend Precision for your next project.

Jason and his crew added a front porch to our house as well as a complete renovation of our kitchen, living room, and master bath. Jason was professional, courteous, and did an excellent job at a cost much more reasonable than some other local companies quoted. Jason was on the job site every day, and he made sure the workmanship was top notch. We finished our renovation with a house that met our expectations, and with a relationship with a contractor who we will trust for any future work on our house.

OTM Design & Remodeling designed and built a new wooden deck almost four ago. They did a great job at a reasonable price, and the deck still stands strong today. Definitely recommend.

We have had a kitchen remodel done and a sunroom edition done. They come out on each project and the initial interview finds out what you want and then they explain what is feasible. After a compromise is reached, they send a series of team members out to go through everything from floor choices to paint colors with you. They also prepare a computerized walk through where you can see exactly what your project is going to look like. After there is agreement, you get a detailed step by step plan and final exact price with what is due at every step. There is no room for misunderstanding. Once the project is ready to go, they assign a specific project manager to your project and he is given a key and a copy of your schedule. While your project is underway, he work just for you and no one else. There is a note each day as to what will be done the next day. They always schedule their arrival to be after you have left and close out before you get home. When the project is finished , you see exact matches on all construction. No gaps and no obvious mistakes. Then you get a three year warranty. The owner Rob Baugher comes out himself on the initial visit so there will be no misunderstanding. In addition, there is no swearing or smoking allowed on the site. It is a great company to deal with.

I could not be more pleased that we chose Harris Doyle to build our new home. The experience has been nothing short of AMAZING! As first time home builders, my husband and I didn’t really know what to expect. As it happens, I went to high school with Kelly Nelson who works for Harris Doyle, so when we were first considering building with Harris Doyle, I called Kelly to get some information. We ended up talking for about an hour about not only Harris Doyle and Keeneland Valley (our new subdivision), but Kelly also shared valuable information with me about the home building process itself, since this was all new to me. Great job, Kelly! You are the reason we are here! After our decision to build with Harris Doyle, it was on to the design process. From the moment that Erin Brigham (designer) called me to set up our design appointments, my confidence in Harris Doyle was sealed. Erin was flexible with the design appointment schedule and we decided on three consecutive Friday mornings, as that is what worked for my husband’s work schedule. Erin even let me parade my mother and best friend in during various times to get their opinions on whatever we were selecting that day. Everyone at HD was incredibly accommodating to our needs. From the complimentary soft drinks, tea and coffee in the showroom to the fun hand soap in the bathroom – I always felt at home in the HD office/showroom. The best thing about the design process with Harris Doyle is that their showroom is loaded with samples. Everything is a sample. Want to see the Coffered Wall you love in the design book? Come around this corner right here… Having a hard time picking out carpet? Take your shoes off and let Erin put a carpet pad down for you to get the right feel. Beyond the samples, I always felt like Erin shared my vision for my new home. We didn’t just stick to the new homeowner binder they give you when you sign up – we were on Pinterest and Google constantly. Erin was always quick to give her expert advice as it relates to the different products and services they offer, but never offered up her opinion on a design element unless I specifically asked (which was a lot, by the way – both Erin and Alice have a fantastic knack for design!). I even asked for Erin’s advice, which she graciously lended, in refurbishing some old furniture to match our new house design after our design process was completed. I cannot wait to see the finished result. I know I will be just as impressed with our new home as I have been about the whole process with Harris Doyle. If you are considering building in sweet home Alabama, I urge you to consider Harris Doyle Homes. You won’t be disappointed! - The Labratos

Builder, Scott Underwood, took on the renovation of our small, newly-purchased, seven-year-old Craftsman home. The goal was to infuse the interior of the house with modern applications of Craftsman architectural detail. Scott has an extraordinary eye for structure, color, and detail. He added variations of Craftsman wainscoting in the dining room and master bedroom, built a transom with beveled glass over a long hallway, affixed a faux coffer treatment on the ceiling of the study, made all cabinet door fronts uniform in style, and added light fixtures that were modern yet reflective of the Craftsman tradition. His regular crew were skilled, professional, and at times part of the creative process.
