“My husband and I were looking to replace a 28 year old wooden deck of approximately 500 sq ft. with Trex and aluminum railing. We had several estimates and were taken aback by the price quotes (we had calculated the approximate material price for the project ourselves including hidden fasteners, connectors, and added wood for a Trex build). Fortunately, a friend was having her deck redone in Trex by Simple Man Construction. Knowing that she is very particular about workmanship and being able to see her finished deck helped us to solidify our decision to go with Simple Man. Her deck was beautiful. Rodney Powers, the owner, responded quickly and gave us an itemized quote within a few days. He informed us about how the project would proceed. Communication was good and the price was reasonable. Within about 3 weeks, Rodney sent out Nick to oversee and basically build our deck from his head knowledge and years of experienced carpentry work. He is one of those rare individuals who still takes pride in his work and gives attention to detail. He and several amazing helpers worked hard and cleaned up after the work day. They were super nice to work with and if we were not pleased with something they were willing to fix it. Our deck was completed in about 6 weeks. We are very pleased with the finished project. We can now enjoy our deck and look forward to not having to upkeep any wood! We would highly recommend Simple Man for any deck project!”

“We contracted with Corby to finish a 2000+ sq ft basement. The project included adding a bedroom, exercise room, theater room, wet bar, game room, and a full bathroom. We found the communication with Corby was excellent and he was extremely honest in his dealings with us. He coordinated the sub-contractors that were used for the HVAC, etc. and with the city inspectors. His direct employees were professional and great to work with. They consulted with us as construction progressed to ensure our finished product was what we expected and wanted. We were very pleased with the quality of work they did. In talking with Corby, he had no issues if we chose to purchase some items directly that were in his bid. He simply gave us credit for those items on the final invoice.”

“It gives me great pleasure to write this recommendation on behalf of McKinney Home Improvements. As a General Contractor, there is no better intermediary for ensuring construction projects are always running smoothly and at their peak. Steve McKinney is a great coordinator and leader, convincing everyone, from subordinates to clients, to follow his lead. This is because Steve exudes a level of knowledge and expertise that inspires trust. What I appreciated most about Steve was his keen ability to get answers. What he did not know off the top of his head, he knew exactly where to go to obtain the correct answer. I was pleased with the job that Steve completed on my patio project. I know that if you employ McKinney Home Improvements, you will also be delighted with the outcome. I believe you could not do better than Steve McKinney Home Improvements for your construction needs!”
