How does one choose an architect design firm? To be honest, in the residential realm it is always leap of faith based on anecdotal evidence, pictures you see online of previous work, and the initial impression received from the company you are about to work with. What does this leave you, but a hope and a prayer that you chose the right firm. I am writing this testimonial to tell you that if you chose Deep River Partners, that you made the right decision for your project. Once you see the final product, you will be elated. 1) VALUE. Deep River is not your standard dime a dozen "Design Build Remodel" company. They are in a class elevated far above this standard with far greater versatility and talent. The beauty of Deep River is that they can put the ceiling of your project anywhere based upon your budget and preferences, but they will make your space as heavenly as possible with a million tricks up their sleeve. Deep River takes their robust, incredible architectural and design ideas to nothing less than artistic expression. What they did to my master suite is nothing less than sublime. I cannot believe that I get to wake up in a piece of art every day. 2) VISION. Their team walked through my house, which was in dire need of some updates and immediately started coming up with a cohesive plan that fit the architectural style of the house and a plan that utilizes every square foot of the house. Their concept of flow, space, and lines of sight still amazes me. 3) TEAM. The years of experience shows. Deep River works as a cohesive unit with the combination of architecture and design working together creates an incredible product. Having a bunch of superstars on your team is one thing (which they do), but seeing them all work together was something great to see. 4) SERVICE. They know the process can be frustrating and they handled all of our concerns along the way with he utmost professionalism. Every suggestion, every upgrade, every dollar was worth it in the end. That's right, EVERY DOLLAR. Also, all of the upgrades they suggested that we didn't get because we couldn't envision the value, we regret! Listen to these people, they know what they are doing! In short, what a positive experience! We lucked out, and you can to!

We had a great experience remodeling our kitchen and master bath. The team is very knowledgeable and experts in their craft. They seem to work well together as a team and did a great job communicating updates, changes, and daily schedules to us. The only reason we did not give them 5 stars is due to scheduling delays, which in most cases was not their fault.

Ryan quickly felt like family, and since working with him we have referred him to my sister who is renovating an old farm house. We are forever grateful to Ryan and can’t wait to work with him again in the future!

First thing you’ll notice upon meeting Matt is that he’s extremely easy to talk to. Kay and I would like to thank Thierfelder Builders for making our experience a pleasurable one. The thought of building a new home and the unknown challenges, decisions and choices required are enough to keep the strong awake at night. Most of our concerns and fears were addressed and answered during the initial meeting with Thierfelder Builders. Upon arriving, we were given a comprehensive outline of the building process including dates and deadlines. Thierfelder Builders walked us through the entire process step by step answering any questions or concerns we may have had, by the end of our first meeting we had a good understanding of what to expect. Thierfelder's professional knowledge, experience and flexible attitude was amazing, we felt very comfortable expressing our views and asking questions thorough out the entire process. They kept us informed of all scheduled work and cost variations, plus & minus, in a timely manner, met with us on nights and weekends to discus any and all changes or revisions we desired. Thierfelder was always eager to offer suggestions and or ideas that would achieve our goals and reduce cost at the same time. How many builders are willing to do that! In the end we were the proud owners a beautifully built quality home that was completed early and on budget. Peter Wells at Wells Design is my favorite architectural designer to work with. He has the rare ability to walk into a home and imagine it without any of the current walls or cabinets in it, freeing him to imagine and design more renovation options than most other people can. Peter respects the original style of his client's home as well as the budget. He is a terrific space planner whether he's designing a kitchen, bathroom, exterior kitchen, lower level or a large addition. Peter is as artistic as he is technical. His use of 3-D computer technology helps his clients envision the proposed space immediately, so together they arrive at the final solution quickly. We have worked together on many projects: Peter designs the space, and I help the homeowners with material selections.

Meg is a grounded, creative and well versed architect. She has terrific experience with some of these older homes in the Milwaukee area but also advised me on a more contemporary house as well. She has great talent coupled with deep experience. Fun to work with too. You'd be pleased if you had the chance to work with her.

Mike and his team at Tiffin Millwork have facilitated one of the best contractor experiences I've had. From start to finish they guided me through every process of our remodel with the utmost care and ministration. When I first met Mike it was to refinish a very unusual and rare piece of furniture. I did not want just anybody working on this piece, because of how special it was to me and the necessary skills required to redo such a fixture, so I reached out to Tiffin (on the recommendation of a friend who worked with them when they needed a historic building remodeled downtown). The finished product was better than I could've imagined, Mike and his teams use of discretion allow for the perfect balance of knowhow and expertise to give you the best possible outcome. Additionally I do not shop by price but was pleasantly surprised when I received my invoice. The work was done promptly, while emphasizing quality and longevity. Fast forward two years later, my wife and I wanted to update our home in Shorewood, and only one company came to mind, Tiffin. When they came out for our initial consult, we knew right away they were the best fit for the job. We had several other companies come out but were not impressed with their vanilla approach of things. We wanted something unique and special to our property and Tiffin delivered. They worked through the project, making suggestions along the way that improved the overall quality, flow, and outcome of the project. They even refinished and altered some existing furniture to make it fit better in the new space which my wife and I were very pleased with. If you are in the market for any kind of millwork, remodeling, refinishing, or custom furniture and carpentry with an emphasis on quality, communication, and customer service, Tiffin has the experience, skill, equipment, and workforce to deliver. The only thing I'm not looking forward to is when the tax assessor comes around and reappraises our newly updated home! Before we had our basement remodeled, Andy came by to reimagine the space. The basement was a mess. He was able to come in and reimagined the space. He took his time in measuring what seems like every angle of the basement.
