“My experience with Chase as my co-designer in bringing my ideas for a front porch entrance area into practical & actionable drawings was very good. All of his prior work, done in the Seattle area, that I was able to see really stood out to me as unique in style but had a very solid & purposeful finish as though that project could not have been done better. Our project would be considered small; simply adding a front porch at the time we definitely needed a full re-roofing of our existing home. I worked with Chase over the phone & skype to exchange ideas with him of details I would ideally like to encompass in this new porch/entryway. I sent him measurements of our existing home and property lines and he carefully measured & documented major structural components of our existing home when he was in the area so that he could accurately draw the correct placement & structural changes needed to complete our new porch. “We hired Ken and Pam to design a 3000sf "modern adobe" home for us in Colorado. From the initial meeting, we knew we had found the right architects. The listened to what we wanted (and didn't want) and provided suggestions and guidance around areas that we were unfamiliar with. They showed us some of their previous work which really impressed us. It was all very personally designed for the owners and specifically designed for the site. We had already selected a contractor who Ken met and planned with and developed a good working relationship with. Ken and Pam came out to the site several times (a 2 1/2 hour drive) and even camped overnight on the site to ensure that the house would receive maximum benefit of passive solar while taking full advantage of the spectacular views. We are located on the East coast and the house was being built in Colorado, but Ken and Pam worked with us remotely on the design until we were all satisfied. The interior space is large and airy and exactly what we wanted and the exterior design exceeded our expectations with design features that echo the unusual geological features of the landscape. One feature of the house that we love and that all of our visitors remark on (even locals who live in the same town) is that every window has a wonderful view. Ken and Pam knew that we had bought the site because we loved the view and made sure we could see it no matter where we are in the house. A testimonial to Ken and Pam is that our contractor, who builds the best homes in our area, selected them to help design his new home (and he works with many architects).
