IMO, I don't think you should take away from your lovely view. Considering the height difference between the sliders and windows, I would just do panels on the side windows and leave the sliders bare. Something with some texture would be nice. Maybe something organic like burlap. You could bring in some added color and texture with just a few throw pillows on your sofa and chair.

I agree with katinparadise..................just install panels on the side windows and leave the sliders without any panels.

I'd put them on either side of the sliders to frame the view and make it stand out (draperies actually help the view), as well as on the side window. Because of the huge width of the sliders, you'll need to do double width panels. A 54" wide piece of fabric pleats down to about 39", so too skinny when stacked back and out of proportion for the sliders. A double with pleats down to 78". Stacked back, it'll be about 18" wide-- so not too far into the window. ALL rods should be hung about 6" wider than the window, plus finial, so the panel covers part of the wall and part of the window.

What about one long rod on the slider wall , so I could cover the 24" wall space between the sliders, losing less window there? Could I go out further than the 6" on the ends to help cover less window? I think I would only very rarely close these draperies.

Perhaps someone could photoshop in some drapes just to give you an idea of whether or not you like them on the sliders. I wish I could!
