Can you post a pic of your kitchen so as to get somewhat of a reference to color?

Kitchen and Family room (Glidden Warm Carmel)

What I would do is take a sample of the Glidden Warm Carmel into Sherwin Williams and have them match it (as closely as possible) to your sample .. then choose a shade or 2 lighter or darker (whichever is your preference) to your kitchen color.
I noticed the color of your Dining room table coloring, and chair fabric ... I would 'not' use any shades of grey ...

Hi Alexa, I also just chose paint. This is a general, not specific, response.

For the first time, I went to the Sherwin Williams store and bought a fandeck. (Well, actually, he gave it to me. :)) I can't tell you how much it helped because I could put colors together from adjacent paint strips or from colors on the same strip and really take time with the undertones. (I've heard it suggested if you're picking colors from the same strip, to pick a color two up or down, not the next color, if you're trying to have colors flow but not match.)
Also, as I read about paint colors on the internet, (a wonderful way to suck hours straight out of your day), I didn't have to rely on monitor colors.

You might want to consider finding the SW match to Warm Carmel (total guess, something like Cardboard or Antique Rookwood Gold) and start from there. Best of luck.
