The finished product! I've lived in this home over 20 years and the Master Bedroom Suite was the one area I'd never upgraded. It was long overdue. I'd been planning and designing this bathroom literally for years. Due to budget constraints when it came to actually doing this there were some changes to the original design, but I couldnt be happier with the end result!

The stepped entrance, designed for flood zone area detached A.D.U., provided a much preferred direct street access. Keeping the budget constraints in mind, railing design was kept simple.

A Lake Michigan Home gets a Modern Refresh from Dresner Design. Photos by Tony Soluri. This couple moved from Chicago’s Wicker Park to a rural setting but wanted to maintain their modern aesthetic. Scott Dresner of Dresner Design created a light bright clean-lined kitchen perfect for the couple’s need to entertain. Must have’s included a drawer for over sixty spices, storage for three sets of dishes, a coffee bar, and a huge island the couple uses for entertaining. The palette is mostly white to maximize outdoor views. Constraints were plenty both timeline and budgetary. Dresner came up with some creative solutions, which allowed the homeowners to save on cabinetry and materials and splurge on appliances.

Operating within the unique spatial constraints of the dome’s oblate ellipsoid geometry, we developed a design strategy that opened up the kitchen floor plan and reoriented the room to alleviate problematic head clearance issues where the existing cabinetry intersected the doubly-curved walls.

This great home in Bent Tree, with stunning golf course views, was a delightful project! Due to unfortunate water damage, we were given the opportunity to redesign a beautiful dining room, kitchen and breakfast area in the coastal style this couple has enjoyed for decades. We were able to embrace all of the things they love: fine materials such as marble, the clean transitional aesthetic and light and bright areas. Our clients’ favorite color, blue, was strategically incorporated throughout the spaces in varying tones to create depth and interest. The kitchen was expanded to ensure functionality and provide oodles of storage. This peaceful and inviting retreat will surely be enjoyed for many years to come.

The outdoor kitchen in this space provided the entertaining capabilities that the client was hoping for. Because of budget constraints, Alderwood designers worked with the clients to choose the most cost-effective materials. The hand-laid pavers also reflect the style of the home, creating a cohesive ambiance.

This historic 1910 Federal style house was carefully renovated and decorated by SRA in phases while the family － including five children ­­－ lived there. Flow issues created by haphazard additions by previous owners were eliminated with a clear-cut circulation path. Today, perfectly proportioned rooms and open spaces are elegantly connected within the constraints of the existing 7-bedroom, 6-bathroom structure.

This busy business owner and mom of 2 young boys struggled with bringing colour and character into this space. Time constraints meant she had no time to shop. She hired me to fulfill both these objectives. She loves fall colours and I incorporated them into the space as well as updating the lighting, area rug, draperies, side tables and accessories..
