The primary goal for this project was to craft a modernist derivation of pueblo architecture. Set into a heavily laden boulder hillside, the design also reflects the nature of the stacked boulder formations. The site, located near local landmark Pinnacle Peak, offered breathtaking views which were largely upward, making proximity an issue. Maintaining southwest fenestration protection and maximizing views created the primary design constraint. The views are maximized with careful orientation, exacting overhangs, and wing wall locations. The overhangs intertwine and undulate with alternating materials stacking to reinforce the boulder strewn backdrop. This great home in Bent Tree, with stunning golf course views, was a delightful project! Due to unfortunate water damage, we were given the opportunity to redesign a beautiful dining room, kitchen and breakfast area in the coastal style this couple has enjoyed for decades. We were able to embrace all of the things they love: fine materials such as marble, the clean transitional aesthetic and light and bright areas. Our clients’ favorite color, blue, was strategically incorporated throughout the spaces in varying tones to create depth and interest. The kitchen was expanded to ensure functionality and provide oodles of storage. This peaceful and inviting retreat will surely be enjoyed for many years to come.

Inspiration for a mid-sized timeless l-shaped medium tone wood floor eat-in kitchen remodel in Denver with an undermount sink, raised-panel cabinets, medium tone wood cabinets, quartz countertops, beige backsplash, stone tile backsplash, paneled appliances and no island

This project began as a design-build proposal to build an addition for an indoor swim spa and exercise room to a ranch style house. The Clients were seeking a functional and inviting space reminiscent of the luxury resorts and space they have visited during their international travels. One of the biggest challenges was to fit the program within the site and buildable area constraints. In order to maximize floor area, the exterior walls of the addition were located parallel to the property lines along the required setbacks, which resulted in a non-orthagonal geometry in plan. The volume of the addition began to take shape with large floor to ceiling openings strengthening the connection to the outdoors with roof line that rises northward to capture daylight. A series of operable skylights ventilate the room and allow more daylight to penetrate into the adjacent existing den. Inspired by modern additions made to historic structures in Europe, we made a conscious decision to not try to blend the addition into the language of the existing ranch house, choosing instead to juxtapose a structure that was layered and felt light next to the cement tile roof and framed picture windows. The interior walls were finished with a marine grade plywood to withstand a humid environment, and the exteriors were clad with a cedar rainscreen to give privacy where needed and gradually reduced to allow for more glass and visibility. Bathroom - mid-sized contemporary 3/4 brown tile porcelain tile and beige floor bathroom idea in Vancouver with a wall-mount toilet and white walls

Photos by Tyler Bowman of Bowman Group This tiny bathroom posed a real challenge. The homeowners desperately wanted dual sinks - but with the space constraints it just didn't seem possible. The key was to install separate sinks on two different walls - sizing them to fit. We ended up with a 27-inch vanity for "him" and a 36" vanity for "her."
