The metal lampshade is meticulously and deliberately hand welded together to resemble a cluster or rocks. Look closely and notice how each metal plate is a bit asymmetrical yet they all fit seamlessly together. Wooden stoppers under each frosted diffuser not only introduce warm elements of the wood, but functionally they soften up the overall light source. ZHE Table Lamp is small in scale but substantial in design.

Lightweight and delicate, the veins characterising Bianco Lasa are so graceful and deliberate in their movement in all directions across the surface as to appear almost hand-drawn. They seem almost to ask permission to cross the slab, contrasting and accentuating its pure white.

The knock down & rebuild revolution is here to stay. This new modern family home replaces a tired old house that was not designed to capitalise on its location, whereas this new contemporary modern building has been designed to capitalise on the natural environment – natural sunlight, sea breezes & sea views, to create a very liveable coastal family home. This new residence with its contemporary coastal styling utilises the natural finishes of modern materials to ground this family home’s context into this locations evolving executive seaside neighbourhood. This buildings design is a balance of form & function with a deliberate consideration of passive solar liveable design techniques, designed to capture the natural sunlight, sea breezes & sea views that this property offers. This new residence has been designed with a variety of indoor & outdoor living areas to capitalise on the natural environment & climate of this property’s location. This house incorporates design elements to allow the house to be comfortable all year round, providing a variety of areas for occupants to utilise, whether it be capturing natural sunlight & warmth in winter, creating cooling cross ventilation from sea breezes in summer & then there is the direct access to a beautifully natural landscaped garden, this new house will provide the occupants with a low maintenance, healthy living environment for years to come.

Open-concept dining room in a Lake Washington waterfront remodel by Hyde Evans Design, Seattle. A dramatic statement light fixture anchors the space above the dining table, compensating for the low ceilings with vertical presence. Deep blue upholstered chairs bring the clients' desired color into an otherwise neutral palette, and vintage mid-century end tables ground the room with warmth and character. A residence designed for informal gathering and relaxation on a quiet cove near Acadia National Park. Conceived of as a compound of connected gathering spaces with adjacent private retreat spaces. The "village" of structures is designed to open and close seasonally with large sliding barn doors. These also modulate light, air and views into and out of the cottages. Carefully positioned to take advantage of the rich variety of views and sloping topography, the cottages have integral terraces and retaining walls to negotiate the undulating land-form. One arrives at the high point of the site and the long barn axis and navigates between the cottages to the main entrance. Once inside, the home deliberately reveals unique views to the ocean, mountains and surrounding spruce forest.

This garage addition and rehabilitation of a mid century modern home expands and enhances the original while respecting the scale and low, linear feel. All exterior finishes are updated with the exception of the stone. A new entrance creates layers of screening to invite inquiry as well as create privacy and a sense of place. The garage is downplayed with dark materials to allow it to recede relative to the main house, which is deliberately brighter, warmer, and varied to remain the visual focus.
