The proprietary design of LUXE wedgewire grates provides hydraulic function that is unsurpassed, making them an optimal choice when separating wet areas from dry. All LUXE Linear Drains are compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act. The ADA Accessibility Guidelines for Buildings and Facilities Section 4.5.4 specifies that ground and floor grates “shall have spaces no greater than 1/2 in (13 mm) wide in one direction.” We are pleased to provide grates that comply with these requirements so no individual is limited from accessing the area safely and confidently.

A community-focused athletic facility in Plano, TX, 'The Field of Possibilities' was specifically constructed to serve adults with disabilities, providing a premier space for inclusive sports. This high-performance soccer field was developed with hands-on collaboration from FC Dallas and features professional-grade synthetic turf, advanced 2-wire irrigation, and stadium lighting. When not in use by its primary athletes, the facility is available for public rental, serving as a vital hub for the local soccer community.

Our client required a Universal Design for a San Diego downtown master bathroom that was functional, safe, and comfortable. The client requested a design for her father who had disability challenges. The design encompassed a slide-in tub and a comfort height toilet with fold down balance bars on each side. The magnificent slide-in bathtub is guaranteed to bring back the pleasure of a peaceful bath once again. The interior designer, Marie Cairns, also designed the new bathroom to be vanity wheelchair accessible with plenty of storage. The homeowner wanted to update his home and also prepare for the future. In the master bath, we removed the tub and the shower and created a large open, barrier free shower with a fold up shower seat and grab bars. We also added a handheld shower head on a sliding bar to be ready for whatever the future holds. The second bathroom was created from a spare bedroom. Again a large open space was installed with a roll-in, wheelchair accessible shower. This time a curved shower rod was used allowing more space inside the shower. As always, we installed grab bars and a hand held shower head. The homeowner wanted to keep the option open for anyone who might want to use a bathtub, so that feature was also included in the guest bath. Both bathrooms incorporate aging in place features while looking beautiful.

These extras are part of a beautiful, comprehensive home cabinetry design by Cathy from our Nashua showroom. These are in a newly constructed ADA home, designed specifically around the homeowners’ needs and disability. The wet bar and kitchenette feature a versatile, flat-panel door style with a medium matte finish and quartz countertops. The window seat features a spectacular view and some great storage cabinets underneath the bench. An absolutely beautiful home with all the features needed to assist the homeowner with everyday life.
