This is just one corner of this lovely french country family room, there is a mirror image of it on the other side of the fireplace not shown here. Although the high ceilings you can picture yourself snuggling up with a good book in the soft gray velvet chair. The ottoman pulls out for extra seating when necessary.Although a small space, the design was opened up with the use of two mirrors on either side of the room.

A wider foyer gives a more subtle barrel vault ceiling. Raleigh Custom Homes built by Stanton Homes.

This laundry needed a makeover as well as an expansion. We took unused dining space from the kitchen and added it to what was an undersized laundry room for the size of the house. By adding square footage back into the laundry, we were able to not only provide extra storage for our clients, but an additional area to prep for when guests come and visit. To top it all off, we added beautiful stained french glass doors with gold/crystal knobs to create privacy between the laundry room and invited guests.

There's no such thing as too much leather! Rock, chic, a little bit casual, and as personally precious as a leather-bound journal, our Hayward Swivel bar stool lies in perfect sync with every decor! The sumptuously soft seating, with a pristine, tanned waxy brown top grain leather is elaborated by the overall upholstery. Black, sturdy iron frame contrasts with the top grain leather and the four-sided footrest and 360-degree swivel along with the comfy backrest provides extra support. Gold studded rivets on the sides and detailed hand-tailoring have been incorporated for microscopic perfection.

The family room was designed to be the hub of every day family life. Open to the kitchen, breakfast room, and a secondary sitting room, this two story gathering spot is open and airy. The space can comfortably seat up to 16 people thought he inclusion of extra long sofas, recliners, a project table and fireside chairs. A neutral backdrop of soft gray-blue notes is punctuated by bold inclusions of rich blue--this client's favorite color! Double story windows look out onto a well manicured landscape and pool. By using similar shades of blues and grays on the exterior furniture, the two spaces feel related and compliment eachother. A project table opposite the antique hutch is a great place for family game night or a spot to sit for a quick snack.

Prestige category Victorian Curved Dip custom made by Club Fenders LLC, New Canaan, CT. This is for a beautiful estate home surrounded by all things ENGLISH: horse country, rolling hills, views of pasture and forests, etc. We arrived and installed the bench during a January snow storm. The base boasts the natural highlights of wrought iron with a clear-coat protective finish. The seat is upholstered in 'Roasted Red Pepper' leather. The bench is nearly 8' long with a 10" seat width for bold look and extra comfort.

A Great Room with 2 story double sided fireplace shared with a sitting room on the other side. A sunny landscape painting inspired the flashes of color in the living room. Craftsman-inspired ceiling beams, built in shelving and cut out wood framed openings enrich the space.

The owner’s of this apartment had been living in this large working artist’s loft in Tribeca since the 70’s when they occupied the vacated space that had previously been a factory warehouse. Since then the space had been adapted for the husband and wife, both artists, to house their studios as well as living quarters for their growing family. The private areas were previously separated from the studio with a series of custom partition walls. Now that their children had grown and left home they were interested in making some changes. The major change was to take over spaces that were the children’s bedrooms and incorporate them in a new larger open living/kitchen space. The previously enclosed kitchen was enlarged creating a long eat-in counter at the now opened wall that had divided off the living room. The kitchen cabinetry capitalizes on the full height of the space with extra storage at the tops for seldom used items. The overall industrial feel of the loft emphasized by the exposed electrical and plumbing that run below the concrete ceilings was supplemented by a grid of new ceiling fans and industrial spotlights. Antique bubble glass, vintage refrigerator hinges and latches were chosen to accent simple shaker panels on the new kitchen cabinetry, including on the integrated appliances. A unique red industrial wheel faucet was selected to go with the integral black granite farm sink. The white subway tile that pre-existed in the kitchen was continued throughout the enlarged area, previously terminating 5 feet off the ground, it was expanded in a contrasting herringbone pattern to the full 12 foot height of the ceilings. This same tile motif was also used within the updated bathroom on top of a concrete-like porcelain floor tile. The bathroom also features a large white porcelain laundry sink with industrial fittings and a vintage stainless steel medicine display cabinet. Similar vintage stainless steel cabinets are also used in the studio spaces for storage. And finally black iron plumbing pipe and fittings were used in the newly outfitted closets to create hanging storage and shelving to complement the overall industrial feel.

Finished in our Prism Royal Blue, this two drawer chest is a sight to behold. The raised tumbling rock design across the two drawers creates a rippling effect as light and shadows dance across it. This beautiful chest provides not only that extra storage you need, but also gives you an ideal display area for your favorite photos, lamps, or a vase of fresh cut flowers.

And though the one-bedroom apartment is small in size, our client needed a second convertible bedroom in her apartment for her parents when they visit from Japan. Frosted glass sliding doors were cleverly added to the end of the living room to divide the space to allow for a second bedroom and a home office, without taking any daylight away from the living room. In the guest area, Ashley introduced a round graphic black and white patterned rug for added personality, while minimal floating iron and glass shelves provide both extra surfaces and added visual interest.
A gallery wall featuring rows of carefully installed personal and family photos line the petite hallway that leads to the master suite. Our client requested a crisp black and white bedroom so Ashley used a wide variety of materials to give the room warmth through material instead of color. Ashley also once again brought in a textured white rug to work as a focal point and to make the room appear as large as possible. She kept furnishings timeless and pared back but full of strength thanks to their moody matte gray tones and symmetrical setup. A single armed sturdy clothing rack was also brought in to help our client better prepare for the day ahead every morning.

The large island provides ample room for dining, homework or entertaining. It also hides abundant extra storage.
