The craftsman bones of the house were honoured and a 90’s fireplace was replaced with a modern version that blends into the wainscotting and allows the TV to be recessed above. Modern furniture and lighting were kept in a light neutral palette to emphasize the space and create a feeling of calm treasured after a busy day at the office. A mix of Italian and locally crafted pieces create a layered sense of home and a unique balance of sophistication and casualness. The goal here was to match furniture scale with the lofty room so the space would feel cozy despite its size. The pendants, rug and furniture we chose kept the large room proportional, as well as livable and not too fussy. Sesha Smith, Convey Studios

When asked what they envisioned for their living and dining room Tweak, the clients responded with “colorful WOW factor”, so we gave it to them! We utilized the baby grand piano that was already in the space and took cues from the rest of the home when deciding on the decor. The home itself is decorated with strong pastel colors like deep aqua/blues, lavender, and pink colors so we chose to go bold! Moving the piano toward the center of the living room and hanging a 60" chandelier over top, cranked up the bold factor. We chose hot pink, lime green, and blue for accent colors that perfectly tied the pre-existing decor together, while still allowing the space to retain its classic black and white style. Choosing large scaled items like the massive chandelier, art, and the beautiful gold mirror in the dining room, gave drama to the spaces giving our homeowner's the WOW factor they were looking for.

The primary bathroom features a vintage clawfoot tub that was re-glazed to it's former glory. An oversized niche is very convenient a romantic night with wine and candles. Oversized porcelain tile was used instead of marble for easy maintenance. A brass wall mounted faucet has an additional hand-held feature for hair washing and tub clean-up.
