We were invited to participate in the 2019 Montecito Designer Showhouse for Montecito Life magazine. Our team designed the master suite including the master bedroom, bathroom, and connecting hallway. We gave both spaces a bohemian, natural, and sophisticated feel. The focal point of the master bedroom is the 6ft mirror hung on the wall next to the bed. It is a breathtaking design feature, and it makes the room feel larger. To make sure that the room feels completely bespoke, we worked with a local wood fabricator to make an accent wall out of angled wood pieces that were painted the same color as the surrounding room. This accent wall is right at the entrance to the master suite, so it sets the tone for a unique and gorgeous space. In the bathroom, we created an oasis by wrapping the entire space in tile and accenting it with bronze finishes in the mirrors and light fixtures.

Per Beverly Hills architectural guidelines, the front facade and yard had to emulate a classic French country home. We closely developed a scheme which also met our client’s expectations. From the mansard slate covered roof to the custom mahogany front door, from the gracious guardrails to the light fixtures made in New Orleans, no detail was overlooked. We have also participated in the design of the backyard and of the rooftop deck.

This bathroom was designed to reduce stress and support healing for families and their children with critical illnesses. We bright blues, matte black, and white to create a sense of home, of safety, and of hope. The star of the bathroom is the porcelain tile that looks like patterned cement encaustic tile from All Natural Stone, San Jose.
The furnishings and accessories are durable, functional, and fun, and include: matte black sconce from Sonneman, industrial style dark bronze mirror, a branch table that can be pulled next to the tub for parents supervising kids in the bath, and soft goods from Vintage Bath Los Altos.
We are honored that Melinda Mandell Interior Design was selected to participate in “Where Hope Has a Home” at the Stanford Ronald McDonald House.
We believe in creating safe, nurturing, and healing spaces for all families!

With its spacious layout and thoughtful design elements, this kitchen encourages collaboration and participation from guests and family members during meal preparation. Whether it's chopping vegetables, cooking on the range, or cleaning up afterward, there's plenty of room for everyone to get involved and work together.

In a suburb less than 3 miles from Manhattan an old house underwent a major facelift. I had a good fortune of being invited to participate on the garden design and installation.
In the front a simple corten steel frame lifts an arrangement of Carex Pensilvanica, that will mature into a lawn that will not need mowing. Playful clusters of Boxwoods add structure and winter interest.

This picture-perfect kitchen is a sum of all its meticulously designed and crafted details. The layers of complexity are so seamlessly integrated that the finished result does not overwhelm but rather invites you to linger and savor. The mix of paint finishes, quartz, marble and walnut tops, x-mullion doors and satin brass pulls and knobs all contribute to a layering of textures and color. The stiles of the base cabinets are extended to create furniture pieces in keeping with an old farmhouse but with a distinctly modern twist. The moss colored bar, with floating shelves and spectacular backsplash, completes the stunning project.

A stunning design worthy of a tour.
Our clients wanted to extend the indoor living to the outdoors, using materials that aren’t everyday or ordinary. The D. A. Dunlevy team designed a plan that integrates form and function—and is nothing less than extraordinary.
Four distinct spaces were built using different materials–granite cobblestones for the parking area, Terra travertine for walkways and terraces, and Lake George Ashler stone for walls and steps. The overall effect creates separation and cohesion and invites exploration.
The outdoor rooms include a large sitting area, a dining space, and a tranquil lounge. Along with the boxwoods and pine tree, new plantings were added to create a consistent feel of luxurious greenery. The sitting area hosts a custom water feature that creates a gentle, soothing cascade. The final design is elegant, functional, and a breathtaking series of spaces that earned high praise from the owners and the Georgetown Garden Tour participants.

Great clients with great vision. The best of Selah Pools & Custom Outdoor Environments starts with our client's willingness to participate in the design process as we build their custom dream.
Ultra-Luxe design is found in the details. Each hand cut & placed dry stack stone in this scene, from their outdoor kitchen to the booted patio extension column, throughout the raised spa, the water feature wall, and the fire bowl columns are placed for depth & dimensional effect.
The 1x1 glass tile forming the spa spillway attracts the waterfall like a magnet to deliver a gentle edgeless connection to the swimming pool. With carefully cut & placed tile match on the "rolled beam" of the spa interior, the entire spa scene gleams with intent as it delivers smooth, restful comfort.
Completing the scene with an expansive pool deck color matched to bring it all together and leaving plenty of room for sports, play & relaxation delivers the total residential dream oasis.

What a great show this year! We are super excited to participate in such a great community! Check out our home and don't forget to vote for Carrington Homes as your favorite!

In 2014 we were selected to participate in the “West Coast’s Premier Showcase”, the San Francisco Decorator Showcase, in partnership with Katharine Webster Landscape Design. Tasked with transforming four mundane and forgotten outdoor spaces, we culled together an artistic vision that revolves around the theme of reflection and interplays natural and manmade features. The progression starts with an outdoor covered gallery with a dappled light ceiling, reclaimed redwood decking and swinging chairs. The effect brings to mind youthful memories. The next space incorporates two thirty foot long reflective sculptural walls that add privacy and interest behind trained rhododendron. The spaces crescendo into the upper terrace with a custom mirrored sculpture that adds dynamism and is a wondrous outdoor room for reflection.

Ca. 1919 Craftsman Style Home, Revisioned by the South’s Leading Designers
Twenty‐two leading interior designers from three different states completely restored this historic home on Franklin’s historic Main Street as part of the O’More Show House, which was opened to the public from May 12‐27, 2016 and presented by leading sponsor, PARKS.
This is the third O’More Show House event in recent years, with participating designers having ties to O’More College of Design in downtown Franklin and proceeds benefiting the College’s School of Interior Design. The 2016 home, a 5,200 square‐foot ca. 1919 brick and stucco Craftsman‐style cottage, is a significant contributing property to the National Register‐listed Hincheyville Historic District. The owners have undertaken a total renovation of the home’s interior while leaving the street‐view exterior intact.
We were recommended to project managers and O'More College for the entire landscape design and installation: landscaping, irrigation, lighting, paver walks and patios, paver-raised porch with steps, paver banding in driveway!
