The shower is appointed with travertine tile and edging, and enclosed with custom frameless glass front panels and door. Then this well-appointed room was finished with a slipper style tub. In an effort to bring sound throughout the house, an RA, wireless radio system was installed with separate controls in each room. This was an afterthought of the clients, thus the use of wireless technology. Two spaces originally dedicated to smaller bedrooms, were converted into a state-of-the-art workout room replete with mirrors surrounding the walls. And a custom office was constructed in the other. The office, build in a "L" shape received the same cabinetry with places for computer, fax, etc., as the rest of the house and the closet received custom storage units.

The light filled, step down family room has a custom, vaulted tray ceiling and double sets of French doors with aged bronze hardware leading to the patio. Tucked away in what looks like a closet, the built-in home bar has Sub-Zero drink drawers. The gorgeous Rumford double-sided fireplace (the other side is outside on the covered patio) has a custom-made plaster moulding surround with a beige herringbone tile insert. This master bathroom received a major update in a clean and transitional style. The original bathroom had a large drop-in tub with a small enclosed shower and an angled, wrap-around counter with under-mount sinks. The new design eliminated the tub, which was rarely if ever used, and replaced it with a large and spacious, curbless shower with a crisp and clean tile design. The vanities were separated into his and hers spaces with plenty of storage unique to each of the couple's needs. The closet also received a refresh with a sleek closet system to better fit storage needs, new carpet, and ample lighting.

This sun-filled farmhouse kitchen is the focal point of this home’s new addition. The kitchen is white with wood elements, giving it a contemporary feel. From the recessed outlets in the island, to the columns adorning the island, to the hood with walnut trim, to the paneled refrigerator that matches the cabinetry, every detail was customized for the homeowners. The kitchen is anchored by a large island with seating for seven and tons of storage. The island is bookended by additional components topped by walnut butcher block counters. One end serves as a table and the other end is an extra area for food prep and storage. There is also a cutting board integrated into the sink. The white quartz on the island and main kitchen counters and white subway tile backsplash give the kitchen a modern, sleek look. The walnut trim around the hood is a special touch that ties directly into the walnut butcher block counters. After tearing down this home's existing addition, we set out to create a new addition with a modern farmhouse feel that still blended seamlessly with the original house. The addition includes a kitchen great room, laundry room and sitting room. Outside, we perfectly aligned the cupola on top of the roof, with the upper story windows and those with the lower windows, giving the addition a clean and crisp look. Using granite from Chester County, mica schist stone and hardy plank siding on the exterior walls helped the addition to blend in seamlessly with the original house. Inside, we customized each new space by paying close attention to the little details. We upgraded this 380 sq. Koreatown condo with a modern style and features. To begin with, the kitchen has new semi-glossy beige/green flat panel cabinets. We installed premium quality Bosch appliances including an electric stovetop, range hood, microwave, and dishwasher. The kitchen has a beautiful stone countertop, deep stainless steel sink, matte black faucet, and bar countertop. The bedroom/living room space of the condo received a new fresh coat of paint, base modeling, a new rectangular Milgard window, and a new ductless A/C. The gorgeous bathroom received a major upgrade with a large LED mirror vanity, a floating wood vanity, stone countertop with a deep drop-in sink. For the bathroom, we installed a high-tech one-piece toilet, a new shower enclosure with 3/8 tempered glass, a dual shower head system with a waterfall head and handheld sprayer, a custom shower niche, and beautiful stone tiles. We installed 15 recessed lights, replaced the 100 AMP sub panel, new circuits, 20 outlets, and new exhaust vents.

This 6-bedroom Baltimore row home's grand exterior overlooks a tree lined street in the historic Bolton Hill neighborhood. The original large pocket doors in the first floor allows for uninterrupted views from the front parlor through the sitting room and into the rear dining room bay window. Penza Bailey Architects provided a complete transformation of the walk out garden level. The entire level was renovated to include a new kitchen, family room, mudroom, playroom, full bathroom and a gracious new stair leading to the upper level. The painted brick and exposed structure expresses the original "bones" of the home, while clearly modern interventions stand in contrast to suit the homeowner’s lifestyle. An alcove on the 1st floor was also renovated to provide a serving pantry and bar. The exterior received restored front and vestibule doors, select window replacements, and new rear french doors, all receiving historical approval.

This Needham kitchen received a full 180 from our talented team! While it might look like a full gut and remodel, our crew was able to save the original cabinets. They received a well needed paint upgrade, which we were able to color match with the brand new Fabuwood kitchen island. We stayed with the bright, clean feel by painting the walls a Sherwin Williams High Reflective White and adding a classic white subway tile back splash. Galvano Charcoal Porcelain Granite tiles were installed on the floors, with a beautiful Quartz in Stormy Sky for the counter-tops. The result is stunning!

Our clients liked the function of their Kitchen and yet were looking for a way to refresh the look and feel while playing off the idea of bringing a small dose of painted cabinetry into the space. The fireplace, beverage center and center island were all painted. The center island also received new paneling detail to spruce it up. Cambria countertops were installed throughout as well as new glass backsplash. We removed their microwave over the previous stove and moved it to the corner pantry area so that a hood vent could be installed. The pantry received a frosted door to break up the sea of oak. And what a difference it makes! This bright space is perfect for everyday living and entertaining family and friends as the kitchen, eating and living areas flow seamlessly. With red oak flooring throughout, we used white and light gray materials and crown moulding to give this large space a cohesive yet open feel. We added wainscoting to the steel post columns. After scoring this amazing home, the clients were excited for their new lakefront location, but the home's style and materials were tired and dated. There was way too much mauve granite, and the 90's building codes were no longer satisfactory. Working as a team with Chuckanut Builders, Arbour North Architects and Smith and Vallee Woodworks, the home was gutted in order to prepare for a new interior layout, an addition to the second floor, and deep energy retrofits. Cork exterior insulation and new efficient windows were just two of the many upgrades this home received. Throughout the interior, flat panel walnut cabinets were installed on top of white oak floors. White quartz countertops and simple subway tile kept the home clean and contemporary. This gorgeous beach condo sits on the banks of the Pacific ocean in Solana Beach, CA. The previous design was dark, heavy and out of scale for the square footage of the space. We removed an outdated bulit in, a column that was not supporting and all the detailed trim work. We replaced it with white kitchen cabinets, continuous vinyl plank flooring and clean lines throughout. The entry was created by pulling the lower portion of the bookcases out past the wall to create a foyer. The shelves are open to both sides so the immediate view of the ocean is not obstructed. New patio sliders now open in the center to continue the view. The shiplap ceiling was updated with a fresh coat of paint and smaller LED can lights. The bookcases are the inspiration color for the entire design. Sea glass green, the color of the ocean, is sprinkled throughout the home. The fireplace is now a sleek contemporary feel with a tile surround. The mantel is made from old barn wood. A very special slab of quartzite was used for the bookcase counter, dining room serving ledge and a shelf in the laundry room. The kitchen is now white and bright with glass tile that reflects the colors of the water. The hood and floating shelves have a weathered finish to reflect drift wood. The laundry room received a face lift starting with new moldings on the door, fresh paint, a rustic cabinet and a stone shelf. The guest bathroom has new white tile with a beachy mosaic design and a fresh coat of paint on the vanity. New hardware, sinks, faucets, mirrors and lights finish off the design. The master bathroom used to be open to the bedroom. We added a wall with a barn door for privacy. The shower has been opened up with a beautiful pebble tile water fall. The pebbles are repeated on the vanity with a natural edge finish. The vanity received a fresh paint job, new hardware, faucets, sinks, mirrors and lights. The guest bedroom has a custom double bunk with reading lamps for the kiddos. This space now reflects the community it is in, and we have brought the beach inside.

The 5th floor residence was a full-gut renovation, starting with the elegant and sophisticated kitchen and gallery entryway with checkerboard marble stone flooring. The divine master bathroom sparkles with Waterworks fixtures and herringbone floors. A full-length vanity with regal marble countertop accented by a triptych-style mirror medicine cabinet to match. The kitchen received new appliances lacquered cabinets and a porcelain tile floor. The living room now showcases a custom-designed wine cellar refrigerator with cabinets and bar built around it. The skim-coat sheetrock walls and ceilings received a five-step premium quality finish, with custom-made crown moldings and baseboards running through the living room, dining room, gallery, foyer, master bedroom suite, and guest bedrooms.
