The Baltimore pendant is based on purely functional lights that would have illuminated stairwells, sheds, and machine shops in the early parts of the 20th century. When paired with an oversized metal shade, it gains another attribute on its list of fine qualites: smart, serviceable, and now, simply stunning. Corded pendants are a softer, stripped-down alternative to their brass-stem cousins. Originally found only where the most utilitarian lighting was needed, now they serve as a handsome accent over bars, sinks, and islands.

This large kitchen was desperately needing a refresh. It was far to traditional for the homeowners taste. Additionally, there was no direct path to the dining room as you needed to enter through a butlers pantry. I opened up two doorways into the kitchen from the dining room, which allowed natural light to flow in. The former butlers pantry was then sealed up and became part of the formerly to small pantry. The homeowners now have a 13' long walk through pantry, accessible from both the new bar area and the kitchen.

We created a space for family and a place for my client to engage in instant peace whenever the client is home from a demanding career.

This classic fixture was liable to be found in nearly any kind of house and any room—porches included. We're partial to a brace of Thurman Wall Sconce flanking a flush medicine cabinet. Vintage flush fixtures were composed of a brass ring installed over a separate porcelain socket – bare bones lighting, indeed. Our reproductions are fully wired to modern UL specs, but they're just as versatile, providing low-profile lighting for most any room of homes of any style.

Location: New York, NY, United States This Loft was tastefully renovated back in the '90s, but was due for an update and an expansion of the kitchen and dining areas to accommodate the client's cooking skills and entertaining needs. EnlargIing the island and adding cabinetry to delineate the office, bar and dining areas was a priority. The bathroom was updated to feel like a tranquil spa with beautiful new tile, plumbing fixtures and cabinets.
