Experience the perfect harmony of nature and modern luxury in this full kitchen remodeling project in Washington DC. Designed for those who appreciate refined textures and timeless aesthetics, this kitchen showcases the warmth of custom walnut cabinetry paired with sophisticated, clean-lined design.
The standout feature of this space is the stunning fluted stone backsplash, which adds a natural, tactile dimension that beautifully complements the modern organic theme. A spacious kitchen island, featuring a sleek, durable quartz countertop, serves as the heart of the home, providing both a culinary workspace and an inviting social hub. With custom-built pantry storage that reaches to the ceiling, high-end integrated appliances, and warm, minimalist pendant lighting, every square inch has been optimized for both form and function. This remodeling project demonstrates our ability to transform a traditional kitchen layout into a modern sanctuary where rich wood tones, organic textures, and precision craftsmanship meet to create an unforgettable culinary experience.

Nestled in a home in Thrapston, this stunning kitchen was the result of a chance connection over golf, and it turned into something simply perfect for a lovely family.
There’s a great story behind this kitchen. It might never have happened if not for a few golf lessons with a brilliant local pro, who, as it turned out, needed a kitchen. The result is a beautiful room that we’re proud to have delivered from start to finish.
We used Crown Imperial’s Midsomer range for this project, painted in Sage and Blush. The Royal Calacatta Gold Quartz worktops bring a soft, luxurious feel to the space, and the Karndean herringbone floor adds warmth and texture underfoot. Bosch appliances and a standout gold Quooker tap bring both function and flair. That Quooker, especially, was a decision that took a bit of bravery, but it paid off.
There are a few design details that really make this kitchen special to us. The tall units in Blush add a soft accent, with matching tiles at the opposite end of the room to tie the whole space together. A curved pilaster helps soften the corner, making the tall units feel less imposing. And the centralised hob with integrated canopy hood gives the room a far cleaner, more balanced finish, even if it did require a bit of head scratching during the design stage.
We handled the entire project, from removing the old kitchen to the final finishing touches. That included plumbing, electrics, plastering, and the new flooring—every step was taken care of by our team.
This kitchen is more than just a pretty space – it’s full of considered design choices and lovely touches that really suit the family who lives here. We adore how it turned out. A truly lovely room for a lovely family.

This project was a full design-build transformation completed by our team at Mayer’s Construction. We worked closely with the homeowners from the early planning stages through design, customization, and final installation to create updated spaces that feel elevated, intentional, and unique to their lifestyle.
Inside the home, we remodeled two bathrooms and the primary suite. The master bathroom features a bold black textured slab as the focal point, paired with a custom vanity and an integrated closet layout for a seamless and functional flow. Throughout the interior bathrooms, materials were selected to reflect a clean, modern aesthetic while still feeling warm and personal.
One of the standout elements of this project is the fully custom outdoor bathroom. This space includes a handcrafted wood soaking tub and a matte black privacy fence designed to frame the outdoor shower area while complementing the natural surroundings. The outdoor bath was built to feel like a retreat — private, earthy, and thoughtfully designed.
The final result is a collection of spaces that balance luxury with comfort, craftsmanship with practicality. Every detail, from layout planning to material selection, was handled by our in-house team with the goal of delivering a cohesive, long-lasting design that fits the home and its owners perfectly.

This project features a luxurious and modern design with unique and elegant details throughout. Highlights include an Onyx shower base paired with Onyx Collection white subway shower tile and a champagne bronze shower head for a sophisticated bathroom experience. The bar area boasts a lit quartz shelf, white polished quartz countertops, and a champagne bronze faucet and air switch, creating a sleek and inviting look. Additional standout elements include a wine cellar feature wall, a charming kids' playhouse entry nestled under the stairwell, and durable Cyrus LVP hardwood flooring. Stainless steel appliances complete the space, blending functionality with contemporary style.

In 2025, we completed a full bathroom remodel in this Toronto home, fully gutting the space and reimagining it with a walk-in shower, custom cabinetry, gold finishes, and refined tile details. Sliding pocket doors were added for easy, discreet access to the laundry area. We returned in 2026 to carry the transformation through the main and upper floors, updating the guest bathroom and main floor powder room. The entire staircase was redone, alongside all new flooring, custom mudroom cabinetry, and updated tiling throughout. A standout feature wall under the stairs incorporates hidden doors leading to the basement and powder room, blending function seamlessly into the design.

A standout feature, crafted by a talented living room designer, is the striking backlit rockery graphic. This piece infuses the space with visual intrigue and a contemporary flair, complementing the traditional decor. The soft backlighting of the metal print produces a warm glow, accentuating the lounge’s rich color palette. Additionally, a large TV is effortlessly integrated into the design, blending luxury with practicality, making it an ideal setting for movie nights.

This stunning kitchen, designed by Diane in our Manchester kitchen showroom, combines timeless design with modern touches. Slim white shaker cabinets in a pristine finish frame the perimeter, creating a clean and classic look. A bold statement is made with the island, featuring a rich stained finish that adds warmth and contrast. Sleek white quartz countertops provide durability and elegance, while a custom range hood serves as a standout centerpiece. Thoughtful features like tiered drawer storage, a convenient beverage station, and matching appliance panels ensure both style and functionality. The expansive layout and natural light from the bay windows make this kitchen a bright, inviting space for both cooking and gathering.

This master bath went from drab to high tech! We took our client's love for the view of the lake behind his home and turned it into a space where the outside could be let in and where the privacy won't be let out. We re configured the space and made a full wet room with large open shower and luxury tub. The vanities were demolished and a floating vanity from Canyon Creek Cabinets was installed. Soothing Waterworks Statuary white marble adorns the walls. A Schluter tileable kerdi drain and A Kohler DTV controls the shower with dual rainshower heads, the Kohler Numi commode does it all by remote as well as the remote controlled electrified glass that frosts and unfrosts at the touch of a button! This bath is as gorgeous as it is serene and functional! In the Entry, we added the same electrified glass into a custom built front door for this home. This new double door now is clear when our homeowner wants to see out and frosted when he doesn't! Design/Remodel by Hatfield Builders & Remodelers | Photography by Versatile Imaging

Yet after a few months of moving into your new home you realize that the kitchen and the layout of main level will not work out for your lifestyle. The model home you fell in love with was furnished with beautiful furniture distracting you from concentrating on what is really important to you. This is what happened to this couple in Ashburn, VA, after purchasing their dream home.
The kitchen lacked natural light, while its location was not ideal and was disrupting their daily routine. After a careful review of the kitchen design, a plan was formed to upgrade the kitchen.
Their kitchen was moved to a location between the two-story family room and front dining room. To the left of the family room there was a breakfast eating area that was not serving any purpose.
Our design incorporated the breakfast area placed along a couple feet from an adjacent pantry space to create this new dream kitchen.
By knocking down a few bearing walls, we have placed the main sink area under large backside windows. Now the kitchen can look into their beautiful backyard. A major load bearing wall between the old breakfast room and adjacent two-story family was taken down and a big steel beam took the place of that, creating a large seamless connection between the new kitchen and the rest of the home.
A large island was implemented with a prep sink, microwave, and with lots of seating space around it. Large scale professional appliances along with stunning mosaic backsplash tiles complement this amazing kitchen design.
Double barn style door in front of the pantry area sets off this storage space tucked away from rest of the kitchen. All the old tile was removed and a matching wide plank distressed wood floor was installed to create a seamless connection to rest of the home. A matching butler pantry cabinet area just outside of dining room and a wine station/drink serving area between family room and main foyer were added to better utilize the multi-function needs of the family.
The custom inset cabinetry with double layers and exotic stone counter top, distressed ceiling beams, and other amenities are just a few standouts of this project.
