“For 40+ years we have envisioned giving a 1900s cherry mantelpiece (purchased when we were graduate students) a permanent home. In 2018, we began our search for a renovation team that would provide consultation on incorporating our antique architectural element into a newly envisioned living room wall. David Norbut, CEO, was approachable and encouraged us with his ability to listen to our vision for the room and his suggestions to expand our options, not losing sight of our original plan. Jenelle, Norbut’s Operations Manager, was immediately responsive as we made initial contact and provided access to documentation regarding methodologies, partners and process to assist us in understanding the culture of Norbut. Her friendly and engaging approach was impressive and encouraged us to pursue the potential relationship. From start to finish, we were able to keep communications open, not only with David but his team as well. As the project progressed, we were able to exercise changes where it made sense and where the end product would be enhanced without disruption to the schedule. Kelly and Wes were in and out of our home almost daily during the month and one half of the project, always being respectful of our home and being entirely professional in their interactions. The quality of their work was exceptional. Wes crafted cherry window trim and cabinetry details to replicate the trim from the antique cherry mantelpiece, blended the structure of the cabinetry with the mantelpiece to create an ensemble that visually appears to look as if it has always been together. Wes and Kelly treated the antique mantelpiece with care, realizing its age and fragility. They understood our vision and masterfully crafted the final solution in every way as we hoped. Kelly was Client focused at all times, asking preferences within scope, following up with options as we requested a few change orders and providing daily updates regarding schedules, accomplishments and next steps consistently. Always the gentleman. Are we pleased? Without a doubt! Would we hope to work with Norbut Renovations on additional projects in our home for the future? Absolutely!”
