We hired SJ Carpentry after a major insurance claim that ended up being a six-figure project. Both our kitchen and bathrooms had to be completely gutted and rebuilt. It was a huge job, especially in an older home where new issues kept popping up once the walls were opened. From the beginning, Joe worked closely with our insurance company and really advocated for us. He made sure the scope of work reflected what was actually needed and pushed to get everything covered according to our policy. At the same time, he stayed within the insurance-approved budget. We really appreciated that. The project was complicated and there were inevitable delays, but communication was clear and consistent. We always knew what was happening and why. When new problems were discovered (which happens in old houses), he addressed them head-on and worked through the insurance process to make sure we weren’t left with any uncovered expenses. Most importantly, the quality of the work is excellent. The kitchen and bathrooms were completely rebuilt and look fantastic. Everything was done professionally and thoroughly. We’re grateful to have had a contractor who could manage both the construction side and the insurance side so well. I would absolutely recommend him, especially if you’re dealing with a complex insurance claim.

When my husband’s mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease our lives took a turn of uncertainty. A memory facility was not something she could afford, and we wanted her to have reliable care from those who loved her most, but having her move into out 2,000 square foot home was not an option, because it was too small. Building a multi-generational home has certain needs that a standard family home does not, and John and his team listened and understood how best to approach it, from the planning stage right to the very end of the build. The level of professionalism, communication, and integrity made all the difference in this lengthy process. We trusted Master Builders with one of the biggest chapters of our lives, and they didn’t let us down — not even once! We are deeply grateful for their dedication, patience, and the pride they put into every custom detail. Our home has always been a gathering place for family and friends and people are always commenting now about how they love the gorgeous details and natural flow of the home! It is hard to be able to tell where the new part of the house meets the old part, as the two areas were expertly blended. I would absolutely recommend Hammer Head Builders. I hired them to renovate two bathrooms. They did a fantastic job, all the subcontractors were excellent, and Ryan consistently stayed on top of the job. He cares a lot about quality. All prices were clearly communicated and very fair. I’ve used several contractors over the years and Ryan and team are definitely at the top of the list.

Building with Refined was a phenomenal experience. We were first time builders, and we had heard horror stories of building, but our experience with Refined was truly enjoyable (and the finished product - our new house - is AMAZING). They partnered with us from start to finish, found us the perfect lot for a new home, and kept us on budget. The entire team at Refined exceeded our expectations; the business team, the designers (yay!), the project managers and the team that continues to support us 9 months after having moved in (wow!). The service, the attention to detail, the timelines were all fabulous, but all of that only matters if they house they build is better than you could have imagined. Ours is. If (when) we ever build again, our builders will be Refined.

Jeff did extremely great work for me. He replaced some exterior wood trim/fascia that had taken a beating from pecking birds. He made it look brand new and it blends perfectly with the non-damaged pieces adjacent to it!! He is kind and takes pride in what he does. I have other work on my property that I would for sure hire him for.

Jerry and Heidi went above and beyond with my project of installing a new bathroom in my existing home. I could not be any happier with the quality of work that was done! My new bathroom exceeded my expectations of what I initially thought I could only have done to a smaller existing space. Their ideas, opinions and expertise with remodels and additions was extremely helpful to someone like me that is essentially uneducated in projects of this nature. Both Heidi and Jerry were also great at communicating progression of this project as well as any time constraints, etc. They were professional, kind, above and beyond competent, and treated my home and property with respect.
