We contacted AAMD and two other companies to discuss updating our kitchen and fireplace. We are so happy we chose AAMD. Peter was professional and courteous throughout the entire process. He met with us at each stage and helped us pick out materials such as a beautiful piece of granite, tile and flooring. He made stellar recommendations such an oversized sink, grout colour, under-cabinet lighting, pot lights, granite cut lines and layout, and modernized our fireplace by having the floor run directly up to the stone. He really took the time to hear our ideas and offered his professional and valuable opinion to help guide us, which I really appreciated as this was our first major renovation. Peter also listened to my concerns at each stage and added a few requests I threw in at the last minute such as a water filtration system and built-in garbage/recycling drawer. He finished this entire job on budget and on time. We are thrilled with the outcome and feel like we have a brand new home. I'd would recommend AAMD if you are considering any home renovations and we will certainly call them again if we need anything in the future.

I would like to take this opportunity to recognize Peter (and his helper, James) for their exceptional work on our deck. We are traditionally DIY'ers and needed to re-do the deck we had built ourselves in the mid 90's. Started to take it apart board by board and soon realized we needed professional help. Being almost 25 years older can do that to you. Interviewed a number of companies. Some we liked - a lot - and some we didn't. Our 'vision' for the design wanted was accepted and priced within too wide a range of prices and we concluded, yet another consult with a professional was required. It was then we contacted Peter on the advice of a trusted friend I have known for almost 40 years. Peter arrived that same day to give us an estimate, along with advice, and everything changed. Our 'vision' was a 'just for us' scenario. It did not fully take into account the resale value of our property. Peter's dual expertise of being both a realtor & a home renovation expert became invaluable. He explained what he saw as the best deck renovation and why it would add value to our property & still provide for the needs for our family. The work was done within the time frame quoted, using quality materials that will withstand the elements, and all delivered with a cheerful disposition, while I obsessed over every nail my 'DIY' self was not putting in. And at a reasonable cost. A lot of companies out there can do the work being asked for. The quality of which will be determined once they are done. However, it's the VALUE ADDED experience that is truly worth the price. Had he not had a real estate background to also advice us on property value implications, we may have actually lost money on this renovation. Peter has a wide range of skills from kitchen remodelling to tile setting. We have had a few renovations done on our house, over the years, with mixed results. Sadly, none of them warranted a recommendation......until Peter. Thank you. We will ONLY contact Peter for anything we may need in the future.

We first heard about AAMD through our daughter who had a complete overhaul done on her kitchen. The decision to hire Peter was very easy once we saw the completed renovation. After our first meeting with Peter we knew he was the right fit for our renovation. Once the plans were finalized Peter gave us a start date which was started on the said date, the completion date was a week early. Beside the excellent craftsmenship by Peter and James it was their visionary talents that were as impressive. Two great features we now have were afterthoughts from Peter and James that has added great joy and character to our home. Peter is a passionate, approachable and creative contractor who really pulled all the elements of our bathroom renovation together for the price he quoted and within the time frame he predicted. His attention to details using design principles and incorporating our ideas/desires really made us feel confident that the project would meet our high standards. Since he doubles as a realtor, he was able to give us tips to increase the value of our home and minimize any unnecessary costs (for example, not replacing the existing floor tiles). Very professional in his approach, he clearly communicated the overall plan and what we might expect along the way as well as answered all our questions. He met and exceeded our expectations!

We hired AAMD to re do our kitchen. We could not be more pleased with the results. Peter is a professional in every sense of the word. He has great ideas, and really went that extra mile everyday for us. I would hire him again without a doubt and have already recommended him to others. AAMD Renovations did an excellent job and we would rehire for future projects. AAMD Renovations installed our new Kitchen in November 2014 including installing cabinets & new Island, tile back-splash, new hood fan and did a change in plumbing for new built island. We hired Peter to complete a full kitchen renovation. Peter had great suggestions and designed the kitchen of my dreams. Peter along with Jason and Andrew were very professional and easy to work with. The project went extremely smooth and was completed on time and on budget. Peter Chow was referred to us by a friend who highly recommended his work redoing his bathroom. Even a second individual, who had hired him for a bathroom, was also very pleased. So, based on two referrals, we felt confident in choosing Peter to help us with our kitchen counters and backsplash. He took his time taking us to granite showrooms before we made our selection and we were very impressed with his professionalism, work ethic and his skills as a carpenter and tiler. Before we could begin the job, the existing cabinetry for the fridge had to accommodate a wider one and that did not deter Peter. He removed crown mouldings and side panels and replaced them seamlessly, so perfectly, in fact, that the new fridge fit right in. Not only is he a skilled worker, but he also has a good sense of design based on his post secondary training and natural aptitude. He offered good sound advice and valuable tips in helping us choose our materials, colours and design and was genuinely interested in our preferences for our kitchen and made sure that we were satisfied every step of the way. He was punctual, cleaned up after his work, and remained in steady communication with us throughout the job. When it came to the cost of our project, he worked within and respected our budget and was a man of his word from beginning to end. The end result was worth it because we love our kitchen and so do our family and friends. We would highly recommend him.

We recently hired Peter from AAMD Renovations to repair the siding which houses part of our chimney, which had extensive water damage due to incorrectly installed shingles. Peter assessed the situation, provided an acceptable estimate, and scheduled the job for two weeks out. He was then able reschedule for a week earlier than planned, and completed the job as within one day. All work was completed as expected, and he also repaired the shingle problem which caused the damage. We are very happy with our experience with AAMD Renovations, and with the work done.
