This project started by tearing down a wall that separated the old dining room and kitchen. The rustic barn wood beam was then erected to add some flavor. The hand scraped oak flooring was then installed and the custom cabinets placed on top. The client wanted a bay window so the existing window was replaced by a custom built bay window to allow for extra light for plants. All the beautiful stone was supplied by Bella Pietra Surfaces. Cygnus granite was chosen to give the feeling of petrified wood to tie in the other design aspects. A deep, white Blanco sink allows for full sized pots and pans. The 6 burner gas Viking range was a must for the clients culinary needs. The final transformation allowed for much better use of the space as well as giving the whole main floor a much more open feel.
