A secondary criteria for the project was to have a bath tub that was adequate for soaking while not being too high for stepping over for daily showers. This Kohler curved skirted tub fit the criteria to a T. The hand-held shower head makes bathing and cleaning a snap.

Located in, Summit Park, Park City UT lies one of the most efficient houses in the country. The Summit Haus – designed and built by Chris Price of PCD+B, is an exploration in design and construction of advanced high performance housing. Seeing a rising demand for sustainable housing along with rising Carbon emissions leading to global warming, this house strives to show that sensible, good design can create spaces adequate for today’s housing demands while adhering to strict standards. The house was designed to meet the very rigid Passiv House rating system – 90% more efficient than a typical home in the area. The house itself was intended to nestle neatly into the 45 degree sloped site and to take full advantage of the limited solar access and views. The views range from short, highly wooded views to a long corridor out towards the Uinta Mountain range towards the east. The house was designed and built based off Passiv Haus standards, and the framing and ventilation became critical elements to maintain such minimal energy requirements. Zola triple-pane, tilt-and-turn Thermo uPVC windows contribute substantially to the home’s energy efficiency, and takes advantage of the beautiful surrounding of the location, including forrest views from the deck off of the kitchen. HALL CLOSET My client’s one bedroom, beach front condo lacked furniture, a guest room and adequate storage. I designed a wall unit that houses a Murphy bed, two wardrobe closets, a section for his tv & components and plenty of shelves for displaying his artifacts. Additionally, I created a clothing and storage closet in an unused hallway recess that matches the living room perfectly!

The earthy tones and natural hues bring an atmosphere to this bathroom that is refreshing and rustic. Custom windows with frosting bring in the natural light, while maintaining adequate privacy, to enhance the outdoors appearance. Ordinary sinks are a thing of the past with so many new wash basins in different designs, shapes and colors. For this Wychwood Park complete bathroom rebuild, Carter Fox was hired to create a functional, accessible bathroom that did not look institutional or boring. We opened up the original powder room/tub room layout, removing the interior doors to allow adequate space to maneuver, and created a wheelchair-accessible curbless shower room with a second sink (re-purposing the original) at bench height. A modern newly completed project located in a residential neighborhood in Cyprus. The clients requested both sheer and heavy velvet drapes so they will have ample privacy from the neighboring homes as well as adequate darkness to watch TV during the day. Our velvet drapes were backed with a black-out lining which also acts as a heat protector. We were asked for a mute, taupe color scheme and the curtains have enhanced that.

It was important to the client to maximize the space in the kitchen and to create adequate storage for his plates, pots and pans. Sufficient countertop space was also important in order to accommodate guests during parties and game nights. Adding double faucets in a wall mounted sink to this guest bathroom is such a fun way for the kids to brush their teeth. Keeping the walls white and adding neutral tile and finishes makes the room feel fresh and clean.
