For the adults, there is a full bar, which is almost the size of the kitchen, adjacent to a main TV/Entertainment area. Sit at the dramatic marble counter top bar top on comfortable gray backed bar stools. Feel like a professional bar tender as you pull everything you need from the medium gray shaker style cabinets and matching shaker two level bar front thanks to the significant storage space beneath the serving area.

This home combines function, efficiency and style. The homeowners had a limited budget, so maximizing function while minimizing square footage was critical. We used a fully insulated slab on grade foundation of a conventionally framed air-tight building envelope that gives the house a good baseline for energy efficiency. High efficiency lighting, appliance and HVAC system, including a heat exchanger for fresh air, round out the energy saving measures. Rainwater was collected and retained on site.
Working within an older traditional neighborhood has several advantages including close proximity to community amenities and a mature landscape. Our challenge was to create a design that sits well with the early 20th century homes in the area. The resulting solution has a fresh attitude that interprets and reflects the neighborhood’s character rather than mimicking it. Traditional forms and elements merged with a more modern approach.

At the end of the peninsula, five long, narrow drawers take advantage of the space left adjacent to the microwave drawer. This is a great place for keys, pens, teas, candles, etc. The larger drawer beneath the microwave stores taller, practical kitchen items.

This project showcases thoughtful design at every level. Beneath the basement stairs, what's typically wasted space was transformed into a cozy reading nook—a small sanctuary for dreaming, reading, and relaxing.
Above, the staircase itself features clean, minimalist design: red oak handrails and treads paired with white-painted square balusters. The contrast creates a crisp, elegant look that complements the home's modern aesthetic while the hidden retreat below reminds us that exceptional design considers every square foot.

This neutral toned bathroom keeps it simple with beige laminate countertops and shower wall accented by bronze fixtures. While the bathroom is quite, the detailed sink stands out with its granite, tiger's eye inspired look. This drop in sink gives the bathroom a little pop but still fits in to the natural bathroom.

This two island kitchen brings an elegant whimsy to a French Country Estate style. The hand painted custom hood over the La Cornue range creates a stunning elevation beneath the open hallway upstairs. Thick, detailed mouldings and corbels provide an abundance of "wow" in this stately kitchen.

A beautiful Mamaroneck Tudor with its original tiny kitchen was badly in need of renovating. The homeowners shifted and enlarged the rear of the house to create a peaceful space with earthy toned charcoal grey Oak base cabinets and shiny back painted white wall cabinetry. Six integrated gas burners from Netherland's Pitt Cooking were fitted into the island, with Gaggenau’s tappenyaki grille for a efficient and beautiful integrated cooking and serving area.
