The removal of a large, brick chimney and some disjointed structural beams in the original house allowed the dining room to have spacious access to the new open kitchen. A new built-in china hutch added some much needed storage, borrowing space from the mudroom storage behind the wall. This ingenious solution allowed for extra depth without intruding into the dining room.

This is a new home in Rocklin. The Owners' taste ran to modern, but they wanted a home that would feel comfortable in a traditional styled neighborhood. The Architect borrowed inspiration from the white, clean lined homes in Greece to create a home that was both modern and traditional.

In this kitchen, we were brought on to paint the kitchen cabinets in Borrowed Light by Farrow & Ball. Professional cabinet painting! We spray all cabinets with an HVLP spray gun, no rolling or brushing.

Corner windows in this guest bedroom feature a custom upholstered valance with a modern twist. A blue velvet swivel chair is elegant and inviting. The aged leather dresser with rounded edges adds another touch of modern styling, with metal legs and hardware to finish off its classic 30’s look. The oversized aged iron round mirror features a knotted jute rope. The cable knit carpet is sized perfectly for the space. The walls are painted in Borrowed Light by Farrow and Ball for a clean, soft look.
