These empty nesters decided to downsize when their last child left for college. Having lived in a very tarditional home for years, the homeowners saw this as an opportunity to live a totally new lifestyle. Clean, contemporary, and less fussy was the overall theme of this remodel.

The Maya Collection is a modular seating system comprising of a number of pieces that can be configured in multiple variations, allowing for endless possibilities of composition and dimension. Highly versatile and scalable, it is ideal for large public spaces such as the open areas by the poolside, loggia, or smaller configurations to fit a terrace or veranda. The pieces can be easily and quickly rearranged to fit the space, function or event, making it as intimate or as large scaled as necessary. The pieces can be made into configurations as simple as a love seat or large daybed, to large seating configurations that can be made to accommodate “parties” large or small. The low profile of its modular design with wide (6") wrap around armrest provides functionality with ample space for drinks yet sturdy enough to be sat or leaned on, a feature that many will find readily appealing for casual parties and events. The Maya 6 pc Teak Lounge Set features: 1 daybed sectional, 1 left side sectional, 1 slipper chair, 2 ottomans, and 1 side table. Cushions made with Quick Dry Foam® core and 100% solution dyed Sunbrella fabrics. Made with SVLK certified Grade A Teak from sustainable plantations in Indonesia. Pamela's living space is modern, elegant and a little bit Zen. Our job was to bring in a layer of comfy romance, so I focused on furnishing the space with mushy comfort, pure white slipcovers, warm woods, breezy linens and beautiful flowers, while respecting the modern edges. We used soft, white-linen-covered furniture, flowing linen gauze curtains to divide up the open plan spaces, flowers, of course, and a chandelier to add twinkle. In her previous home, Pamela's collection of beautiful books were displayed on open shelves in a chaotic but organized way, but the bookshelves did not translate and so we housed the entire collection in cabinets on either side of the fireplace behind heavy doors of reclaimed wood. The floaty, feminine painting of tutus over the fireplace actually has an edge to it, as it is built up from layers of plaster and has a cement like texture. Photo Credit: Amy Neunsinger

It’s a Japanese cinema room with Tatami Flooring, hand dyed vintage French linen walling, vintage African textile cushions and Home of Wool Tufted Daybed Cushions. We had the honour of collaborating with those amazing professional on a few occasions before. So when they came to us again with a request to create a custom mattress for this project we were very excited to join right away! The daybed here is constructed of 3 equal pieces of tufted cushions filled with our 100% natural wool stuffing. The customer wanted some extra thickness, so we made the cushions at 20 cm each to accommodate that. The other special thing on this occasion was that the customer had chosen a very dark upholstery fabric which he explicitly wanted for the covers.
