We really opened up and reorganized this kitchen to give the clients a more modern update and increased functionality and storage. The backsplash is a main focal point and the color palette is very sleek while being warm and inviting. We gave this modern New York City loft a customized interior design. We wanted the space to be eye-catching yet elegant and uncluttered, so we focused on the unique walls and lighting. The walls are dressed in a custom plaster from Serpentine Studio, which so perfectly matches the Stone Source countertops. Glistening white flat panel cabinets and a glazed backsplash contrast beautifully with the matte gray color palette. Finally, we added in subtle metallic accents through the pendant lighting and Suite NY bar stools.

Beginning this full home remodel in the kitchen, we added a cozy banquette, built-in custom cabinets, and a PentalQuartz Super White countertop for a contemporary vibe. The kitchen’s central feature is an inset bar in rich macassar ebony and Flavor Paper’s Monaco gold foil wallpaper that was formerly a fireplace.

Interior Designer Rebecca Robeson created a Kitchen her client would want to come home to. With a nod to the Industrial, Rebecca's goal was to turn the outdated, oak cabinet kitchen, into a hip, modern space reflecting the homeowners LOVE FOR THE LOFT! Paul Anderson from Exquisite Kitchen Design worked closely with the team at Robeson Design on Rebecca’s vision to insure every detail was built to perfection. Custom cabinets of ...... include luxury features such as live edge curly maple shelves above the sink, hand forged steel kick-plates to the floor, touch latch drawers and easy close hinges... just to name a few. To highlight it all, individually lit drawers and cabinets activate upon opening. The marble countertops rest below the used brick veneer as both wrap around to the Home Bar. When we drove out to Mukilteo for our initial consultation, we immediately fell in love with this house. With its tall ceilings, eclectic mix of wood, glass and steel, and gorgeous view of the Puget Sound, we quickly nicknamed this project "The Mukilteo Gem". Our client, a cook and baker, did not like her existing kitchen. The main points of issue were short runs of available counter tops, lack of storage and shortage of light. So, we were called in to implement some big, bold ideas into a small footprint kitchen with big potential. We completely changed the layout of the room by creating a tall, built-in storage wall and a continuous u-shape counter top. Early in the project, we took inventory of every item our clients wanted to store in the kitchen and ensured that every spoon, gadget, or bowl would have a dedicated "home" in their new kitchen. The finishes were meticulously selected to ensure continuity throughout the house. We also played with the color scheme to achieve a bold yet natural feel.This kitchen is a prime example of how color can be used to both make a statement and project peace and balance simultaneously. While busy at work on our client's kitchen improvement, we also updated the entry and gave the homeowner a modern laundry room with triple the storage space they originally had. End result: ecstatic clients and a very happy design team. That's what we call a big success! John Granen.
