Inspiration for a modern bathroom remodel in New York

For an industrial look this condo kitchen used a concrete finish to add more character to the space. The flooring was stained a dark gray, and the structural concrete walls are exposed to accent the floors. The walls were skim coated and sealed with a natural coating. The kitchen countertops are stunning yet straightforward featuring Statuary Classique Quartz from MSI Surfaces which is elegant, durable and requires no maintenance. This marble-look quartz is a soothing white background, and delicate veins make for great countertops with waterfalls. The Backsplash wall tile is a Bergamo Herringbone Mosaic by MSI Surfaces which is an elegant natural beautiful white marble tile that features soft gray tones in the veins. The herringbone design reflects a modern take on a traditional pattern as seen on Vimeo.

This project took us a bit off our usual path—and we loved the challenge. It began as a straightforward bid to re-side a local HOA’s swimming pool patio using Hardie stucco panels. But as the scope expanded, so did our role. We were tapped to completely rebuild their bathrooms to meet ADA compliance standards. With no air conditioning in the space, we chose materials built to perform: Hardie stucco sheet paired with Sherwin Williams Rain Refresh Paint throughout. This project features the Viking Pro XL 60″ Tall Vertical Cedar Cold Plunge, constructed from solid Western Red Cedar and installed on a finished patio surface. From a modest East End bungalow to a striking three-storey custom home — our Dundas St E project was anything but straightforward. When we began demolition, we discovered the house sat on a former landfill site, which created serious structural challenges. Instead of seeing a problem, we saw an opportunity to apply innovative engineering. Our team designed and installed a foundation system using helical piles and structured footings, creating a rock-solid base for the new build. This project proves that no matter how complex the site conditions, smart design and skilled construction can transform challenges into stunning results. The proof? This home sold within two days of hitting the market.

This bathroom in Little Paxton is a great example of how thoughtful design and careful planning can turn a tricky space into something beautifully simple. We recently supplied and installed this lovely en-suite bathroom for a customer in Little Paxton. With a sloping ceiling, the room had its challenges — but by making a few changes at design stage, we were able to create space for sensible storage and a generous shower. The original subfloor wasn’t solid and the tiles had cracked, so the room had to be completely stripped out and repaired. Once the groundwork was done, we carried out all the electrics, plumbing, plastering, and tiling, along with underfloor heating and Calacatta-style wall panels in the shower. This bathroom has a clean, contemporary feel. The floor tiles were chosen to complement the wall panels in the shower, keeping the design cohesive throughout. A glass shower enclosure keeps things open, while the splashback of blue-green tiles behind the sink adds a pop of colour. Silver-toned fittings and an oval countertop basin bring a polished, modern finish to the room. It may not be a large space, but this one came together beautifully. A straightforward layout, clean finishes, and a touch of luxury where it counts. Simple, effective and elegant. Love it!
