FINNE ArchitectsArchitects, Architectural DesignVerified LicenseResponds QuicklyBest of Houzz winnerTypical Job Cost: $500,000 - 5 million
BEST OF HOUZZ 2013-2023 Internationally recognized and based in Seattle, we design modern, highly crafted, sustainable custom homes as well as furniture, lighting, and hardware! We have completed over 70 residential projects, both new construction and renovations. Our projects range from $1.5-5 million and we do not take on projects with less then $500k in construction costs. We believe strongly in "smart sustainable" design and belong to the US Green Building Council. Our projects are all designed to qualify for LEED certification. Our typical scope of services often includes interior design and some custom furnishings, light fixtures or cabinets. Nils Finne has designed over 75 custom furniture and lighting pieces. The custom work contributes to the idea of "Crafted Modernism," which is present in all FINNE projects. A client recently remarked that visitors to his house immediately start touching everything, the wood surfaces, the stone, and the steel. Sometimes we actually see with our hands, we touch a piece and somehow connect to its maker.
Nils and his team worked collaboratively with us to execute our collective vision -- from aesthetics to functionality – inspiringly and perfectly.

J.T. DesignArchitectsTypical Job Cost: $3,000 - 30,000
JT has over 40 years of experience in planning, designing and permitting both new custom homes and remodel additions. This vast experience across the Western Washington region covers every jurisdiction and multiple building departments. JT Design will help you navigate through the challenging process of designing within the constraints of your current zoning, as every lot has some unique restrictions which often dictate the best path and scope of the work. We also help do this within your construction budget if possible, or identify early on where the budget will not fit and why. Our focus is more often finding the right design to fit your existing home, so that once completed there is no obvious line between new and existing. We are less about winning design awards and more about making our clients happy by turning their dreams into a buildable reality. In slow or busy times, we take pride in responding in a timely manner. Nothing is worse than feeling like your project is being ignored or not important. Satisfaction is more than just a catch phrase to my company. Our services ensure that this process is understandable, fun and that your expectations are exceeded. The 3d tools also make the design process and communications about your desires very easy to understand and follow. Feel free to call and ask as many questions as you want. I'm also newly disabled so I have a much better understanding of what it means to be aging in place.
Very Professional to work with. Great communication during design phase. Professional plan sets. Great knowledge of permit applications and requirements/codes

Formerly Lane Williams Architects, we are a small team of architects, led by Trevor Dykstra, AIA and Kellen White, AIA, devoted to the design of modern, custom, single-family residences. Projects include new homes and major remodels in the greater Seattle area, vacation retreats in the San Juan Islands and Central Washington, and occasional works in other parts of the United States. Our designs have been featured in Metropolitan Home, Trends, Fine Homebuilding, Sunset, Residential Architect, and many regional publications.
Lane Williams and his team epitomize world-class, top-of-the-line architecture. Our family home was under construction for over a year with no end in sight and many complications arising when Lane and Kellen stepped in and saved everything. Their expertise, knowledge, attention to detail and professionalism can’t be beat. They had an immediate vision for us, were able to work through strict city codes and create a true masterpiece. The seamless structural transitions between spaces and artistic custom touches are magnificent. The finished product is beyond anything we imagined. We would use Lane and his team over and over and can’t recommend them enough. The PNW is beyond lucky to have their talent so close to home!

Projects are executed with exceptional standards in creative design, thorough and professional construction management, and top-quality carpentry and craftsmanship. Let us create the space of your dreams.
These fine folks handled our remodel. It was our first project like this - and we were legit worried based on the horror stories from friends who had also remodeled. BUT. Those people did not work with someone like Crescent. Start to finish, we were a team. We trusted them to handle everything along the way, they trusted our vision and helped make the dream come true. Our project was on time even with some unforeseen issues popping up. Doing the work during a pandemic meant it cost quite a bit more, but I believe you get what you pay for. Do it right once. 100% recommend.

Atelier Drome ArchitectureArchitects, Architectural DesignATELIER DROME is a full-service architecture, interior design, and branding firm that unites exceptional design with down-to-earth approachability. We are a community of architects and interior designers who believe that good design truly has a positive impact and should be accessible to everyone, whether in spaces we use every day like residences and workplaces, or in public places such as restaurants, shops, and hotels. From our studio’s inception in 2012, we have cultivated a highly collaborative, unpretentious yet rigorous design approach where all voices are valued equally. Together, we create buildings and spaces grounded in connection—between individual and community, beauty and function, people and place. We’re passionate about design and believe the process should be anything but stodgy. When you work with us, we’ll act as your trusted advisor, listening carefully as we guide you through the design process to create a place as unique as you are. Placemaking is at the core of what we do, which is why the name ATELIER DROME, meaning “a studio for creating special places” fits us perfectly. In our studio in Seattle’s Pioneer Square neighborhood, architects and interior designers sit side by side, working collaboratively on projects to combine technical skill with intuitive and innovative design solutions. No matter our individual titles, we treat one another like equals. We value and support each other, just as we value you, our client. Atelier Drome strives for a human-centered process where active listening informs an honest dialogue. We are highly curious designers who place enormous emphasis on understanding each client’s unique vision, desires, and needs. For it is only when we design from empathy that we can create meaningful places that will serve people now, and into the future.
Cassie at Atelier Drome was incredible to work with. I worked with her on two projects - a commercial space and a major bathrooom remodel. For the commerical space, I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted it to look like and she listened to all my crazy ideas and made them cohesive and look incredible. For the bathroom remodel, I knew the "vibes" I wanted to have in the two bathrooms but was much more open to suggestions. I am OBSESSED with what she came up with and could not have asked for anything better. I know that sounds a little over the top, but I am so so happy with how all three spaces turned out. They were pretty complicated projects but Cassie was so easy to communicate with and always very helpful with the contractors had issues or questions arise.
