Featured Reviews for Garage Building Contractors in Baltimore

Beverly Thomas LLC
Garage Building Contractors in Baltimore
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsApril 25, 2021
“We dropped the floor of our basement and then did a full remodel, including adding a full bath, mudroom, office and rec room. Tom's team did everything from helping to coordinate with the other contractors who did our sewer line + waterproofing to moving dozens of low-hanging pipes and wires to better hide them inside the walls + ceilings to building out custom cabinetry and built ins in three rooms. The result wasn't cheap, but it is exactly what we wanted. Bev's attention to detail -- she maximized literally every inch of space -- in the designs and Tom's knowledge and ability to find solutions + products that would meet or exceed our needs were fantastic. The job took a bit longer than we had hoped because of pandemic/supply chain issues, but the crews were courteous, clean + communicative, and we love the result.”
Signature Dream Homes
Garage Building Contractors in Baltimore
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsOctober 26, 2020
“Rick Oliver of Signature Dream Homes did a fantastic job redesigning, building, and overseeing a garage renovation on our property. We had very specific needs for lighting, matching in color and style to our home on the same property (which Rick built a few years ago) and significant changes to the garage doors and access doors. The results exceeded our expectations and we have received many complements on how well this renovation looked when completed.”
VKB Kitchen & Bath

“VKB just remodeled our hallway bath, and they did a great job! Despite being a little hard to get in touch with over the holidays we were able to arrange a time for a quote. Calvin, our designer, was on time and quick. He brought up a couple of options while we were reviewing the project that we hadn't considered yet, gave us a very reasonable estimate, made an appointment for us to meet him at the showroom in Columbia, and was gone in less than 45 minutes. No pressure at all, and we enjoyed his advice and personality. When we met Calvin at the showroom and he presented us with a 3D model of our new bathroom and picked out materials, carrying samples around the showroom to see how it would all look together. It was a very easy process, and he did a good job balancing his recommendations with our style choices. We signed the contract and had an estimated start date in less than 2 hours. Watching him poke in our selections into a PDF document was the only tedious part of the process, but the showroom was comfy and just fine. About 2 weeks later Calvin and our project manager Jason arrived for a walkthrough, and Jason verified that the contract matched our understanding of what they'd be doing. We also went over the things that we were on the hook to provide: paint and hardware for the hallway door. Jason also verified the location of our water cut-off valve, electric panel, and where they'd be able to wash paint brushes, etc. About a week and a half later Jason called with the start date. When that day arrived we met Juan and Wilson, who did the actual work on the bathroom. They put plastic and dropcloths down to protect our floors and cleaned up after themselves every day. Materials were delivered when needed and stored in our garage. Some cuts (wood, tile, etc.) were made there and out by our front porch, and they also did a great job working around the rain the plagued us a few days. We were surprised how fast they went and how well everything turned out. About 5 and a half working days until our bathroom was complete. Jason collected the remaining payments along the way, the first one having been made when we signed the contract at the showroom. As with every project, there were a couple of things that didn't go according to plan. We wanted to tile all the way up the wall around the bathtub but we found that the ceiling wasn't level and it would have turned out less than pretty, so went a little shorter than planned but ended up looking like it was meant to be that way from the beginning. There was a leak in the sink drain, so we called Jason and Juan came back the next day and took care of it. I had to clean up a few places where the paint from the baseboard moulding hit the tile and my OCD couldn't just let it go. BUT the bathroom turned out looking fantastic! VKB left the remaining tile, which we donated to a local Habitat for Humanity ReStore. We were really surprised by how well everything worked together, from the colors to the styles, to how nice everything looks now. Our kids say it's like walking into a hotel bathroom. It feels like we really got some high end components installed for a very reasonable price. In summary, we're going to use them again for our master bathroom.”
