Bathroom Remodeling Contractors Near Park Ridge

“We started our renovation process with calls to several contractors (many listed on Houzz). Chrissy from Creative contacted us right away and what started as a quick primary bath reno turned into a primary bath full upgrade (heated floor, steam bath, bidet, etc) and a transformation of our formal living room (which was more of a storage room for our exercise equipment) into a 1st floor bedroom with a good sized closet and its own full bathroom. Chrissy asked the right questions and had the owner, Glen, the owner of Creative Design, came to the house within a few days. I will never forget the walkthrough with Glen as we discussed possibly expanding our single car garage into a two car garage where he noted that at a certain point, it makes more sense to move than to renovate an existing home. Throughout the walkthrough, he gave great insight on what will add value to the home and experiences with a space for aging parents. Once we made the decision to go with Creative, there were a few visits to the home for measurements, then a shopping day to choose fixtures and tile with Mary, who is an amazing designer and who we have come to know as just a wonderful person! We also didn’t know it at the time, but having all the individuals within Creative working together (including their subs), made everything so easy for us. In shopping for fixtures and tile, we were never rushed and starting with an inspiration photo and call with Mary, she knew exactly what we liked and wouldn’t like. Mary worked with us through the final walkthrough and with a few changes (towel warmer), she was so patient and was always available. She knew that I was concerned about the veining in the shower tile and came to the house multiple times to ensure that the tile was placed in a way that I would be happy with (I love it!). Javi and his crew were there starting in January 2026. The care they took in setting up the space with framed plastic enclosures (with zippers to enter/exit) and covered the floor/stairs, with a refresh halfway through the project. Every person who came was very friendly and professional, but Javi was the absolute best in taking care of any requests and being proactive in considering any issues. He pointed out that a clear transom to the first floor bedroom meant that there were privacy concerns when we could see into the room from the 2nd floor, so we chose a glass with privacy. As we started this renovation, we decided to upgrade our primary bedroom closet and that is when we learned how easy Creative is to work with. Javi created a cover for our steam shower generator, which blends in perfectly with the closet. When we are ready to renovate our kitchen, we want Javi, Mary and the same team working with us! We received weekly updates every Friday with what was completed that week and what would be completed the following week. I recommend Creative Design without hesitation.”

“We bought an apartment in Hell’s Kitchen and after much research selected KBR Design and Build to lay new floors and remodel the kitchen and bathroom. We knew little about the workings of NY condo ownership, so it was essential to have an experienced firm work with our building management to navigate the complicated process of submitting drawings, securing permits, and addressing legal and practical issues. KBR did this work effectively. Having a contractor and designer who worked well together in the same office made it possible for the design and renovation to be done in NYC while we were across the country. Early on, our designer Edison was most responsive in his almost daily communications. He presented us with choices based on what we were seeking and then helped us to finalize selections. The kitchen backsplash was his idea, and it is one of the prettiest aspects of the remodel. He also listened when we said we didn't like something he suggested and came back with something we did. There may have been some measurement issues along the way but given the distance it is hard to know exactly what went wrong, and in the end, everything was resolved to our satisfaction. But the lead contractor Chris O is really why this is a 5 star review. From the moment he was assigned to our project, nearly all concerns we had were addressed quickly and things went smoothly. We are VERY picky, and he made sure that every single thing on our punch list was attended to. All of the walls - even closets - were painted. When a subcontractor or worker was sloppy or forgot to do something (and this did happen) Chris made sure that they came back and made it right. We ordered very expensive custom kitchen cabinets that were not installed to our liking and Chris worked with the company to ensure that the work was redone properly, even being onsite when they returned to make certain it was right. He is a skilled communicator and good person who we enjoyed working with. He himself returned long after the work was complete to install door stops and quiet the shower door squeak. We ordered a custom shower drain cover which didn’t work with the existing drain, and Chris went the extra mile to have it machine fabricated so it would function correctly. The whole of the renovation took about a month or 6 weeks longer than what they estimated which seemed like a win given how renovations often go. We love the apartment and the work that KBR did for us.”

“The team at JMC renovated two bathrooms in my house recently. I’m particularly pleased with the quality of their work and paying attention to meticulous details that makes the difference. From designing the layout, selection of materials, preparation for demolition, day of demolition, coordination of different experts, construction and finishing, to various town inspections, the team at JMC makes the renovation went smoothly and the bathrooms turned out exactly as the desired layout and design. Keeping rest of the house clean and minimizing dust were also important, as we were living and working in the house while the renovation was going on. The project manager kept us in the loop so I knew what to expect. They certainly take pride in their workmanship and I highly recommend their work.”
