Inspiration for a timeless dark wood floor foyer remodel in Atlanta with white walls

Mudroom Cabinets were custom designed by Jessica McAllister of Kountry Kraft for a transitional style entryway in Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania. The cabinets are crafted in Penn Line style out of Red Oak wood and finished in Gray Wolf 25° stain color. Across the top and bottom of the cabinets are storage units for hats, gloves and shoes. Antique pewter hooks from Top Knobs provide the perfect place to hang coats and bags. This mudroom cabinet system also includes a bench for sitting while putting on your shoes. Mudroom cabinets help keep clutter the kitchen and living areas clean because they create a dedicated space for the items that are typically taken off and put on when entering or exiting the house.

Dramatic contemporary steel railing staircase greet guests in this modern oceanfront estate featuring furnishings by Berman Rosetti, Mimi London and Clark Functional Art.

This cozy lake cottage skillfully incorporates a number of features that would normally be restricted to a larger home design. A glance of the exterior reveals a simple story and a half gable running the length of the home, enveloping the majority of the interior spaces. To the rear, a pair of gables with copper roofing flanks a covered dining area and screened porch. Inside, a linear foyer reveals a generous staircase with cascading landing.
Further back, a centrally placed kitchen is connected to all of the other main level entertaining spaces through expansive cased openings. A private study serves as the perfect buffer between the homes master suite and living room. Despite its small footprint, the master suite manages to incorporate several closets, built-ins, and adjacent master bath complete with a soaker tub flanked by separate enclosures for a shower and water closet.
Upstairs, a generous double vanity bathroom is shared by a bunkroom, exercise space, and private bedroom. The bunkroom is configured to provide sleeping accommodations for up to 4 people. The rear-facing exercise has great views of the lake through a set of windows that overlook the copper roof of the screened porch below.

This mudroom is so bright and welcoming! Brick tile floors, lots of storage, and a ton of light. The Dutch door allows the owner to close just the bottom portion to keep the dogs back in this space, if needed.

A semi-open floor plan greets you as you enter this home. Custom staircase leading to the second floor showcases a custom entry table and a view of the family room and kitchen are down the hall. The blue themed dining room is designated by floor to ceiling columns. We had the pleasure of designing all of the wood work details in this home.

The open wall by the staircase was closed off to create a private office space, beautifully echoing the dining room’s architectural details with matching fluted columns and dentil molding around the entry. A glass transom and French doors invite natural light and provide access to this private space. This versatile room also doubles as a man cave and library, showcasing treasured sports memorabilia and offering a perfect blend of function and style.
In the entryway, the new banister features white-painted spindles that contrast elegantly with walnut-finished newel posts and handrails. A contemporary geometric pendant light fills the ceiling volume, creating a striking focal point that bridges traditional craftsmanship with modern flair.
