“I cannot adequately put into words how pleased I am with Summer and the rest of the team at Summer Thornton Design, but I'll give it a shot... I am a bit of a control freak - some may even claim I have a mild case of OCD. Needless to say, the thought of turning over control of my recent home remodel made my stomach a bit uneasy. That feeling disappeared 10 minutes into my first meeting with Summer - I immediately knew I was making the right decision. The level of attention her team puts into EVERY last detail was amazing (even to me). My home is now finished and the end result is stunning. I have lived in the completed home for a year now and I still smile from ear to ear every time I walk through the door. “I've known Cynthia Wilson professionally for many years. In 2006, I hired her to help me stage my home in Lake Forest, Illinois-the real estate market was crashing, and I had an older home that was proving difficult to sell. She combined the furniture that I had with some great purchased pieces and transformed the living room, family room, and library simply by moving things around, adding strategic lighting, and pulling the rooms together. The first people who looked at the home fell in love with it and bought it! That was the only home that sold that year at that price point. Last year my new husband and I moved into a rental property in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. We had to combine our furniture and somehow make it all work. Once again, Cindy came in and worked her magic. By moving things around, she opened up the Great Room so it flowed beautifully. From there, she advised us on a rug and coffee table purchase. We couldn't be happier!”

“In 2008 we made the decision to sell our home and move into a new-construction condo in the city. The actual move happened in 2012, so we had the pleasure of working with Eva Quateman and her team over the course of a few years. Eva did a fabulous job of helping us select which pieces from our home to update and take with us and also finding different uses for some of our favorite pieces. For instance, she suggested we use our antique secretary in the master bedroom as a TV cabinet. Because we bought new construction, Eva helped us finalize our floor plans and finishings with the developer. She suggested some changes, such as adding a wall between our kitchen and great room resulting in more kitchen cabinet space and a formal dining area vs. a counter area. Eva recognized our traditional decor preferences, and she selected fabrics, furniture and finishings that coordinated well with our antiques to create a beautiful and comfortable new home. Eva and her team were professional, friendly and attentive. It was an enjoyable experience working with the Eva Quateman team, and I would highly recommend Eva Quateman Interiors!”

“We hired Michelle to help us redesign our master bath and are absolutely thrilled with the outcome. We wanted to create a spa like setting complete with a larger shower, luxury whirlpool and other creature comforts that women enjoy. Michelle came up with a stunning design that involved some changes of moving a wall, adding pocket doors and relocating some of the plumbing. Her plan included all the materials to be considered for the project and paint colors. We love the whirlpool that is large enough for two and has these fancy lights that change colors as the pool is on. Her design incorporated the existing master bedroom and she helped us with some ideas there also. Michelle is very creative, full of energy and an absolute joy to work with. There are many great designers in Chicago and she is definitely in that elite group of designers.”

Elizabeth is a great listener and she was able to design my "showcase" kitchen, and add my personality to it as well. She is also patient and thorough -- for example, I especially appreciated having her consider my height in planning my laundry room. Finally, Elizabeth has a fabulous eye and brought things in to my plan, like my planked mosaic backsplash, that I wouldn't have ever picked myself but still make me smile everyday.
