This Ranch Style home turned English Cottage maintains very traditional detailing and materials on the exterior, but is hiding a more transitional floor plan inside. The 49 foot long Great Room brings together the Kitchen, Family Room, Dining Room, and Living Room into a singular experience on the interior. By turning the Kitchen around the corner, the remaining elements of the Great Room maintain a feeling of formality for the guest and homeowner's experience of the home. A long line of windows affords each space fantastic views of the rear yard.

Two Navy LaneA full view of a modern kitchen featuring light blue cabinetry with brass hardware, a white quartz island with upholstered stools, and stainless-steel appliances. The warm wood flooring contrasts with the soft palette, while glass globe pendant lighting adds elegance. Decorative touches like a basket of baguettes and a bowl of apples bring warmth and livability.
Mariani LandscapeThis space was completely empty, void of everything except the flooring tiles. All the containers and plantings, the patterned turf in the flooring, ornaments, and fixtures were part of the design. It spans three sides of the penthouse, extending the dining and living space out into the open.
Outdoor rooms are created with the alignment of fixtures and placement of furniture. The custom designed water feature is both a wall to separate the dining and living spaces and a work of art on its own. A shade system offers relief from the scorching sun without permanently blocking the view from the dining room. A frosted glass wall on the edge of the kitchen brings privacy and still allows light to filter into the space. The south wall is lined with planters to add some privacy and at night are lit as a focal point.

The focal point of the room is the formal fireplace mantel with French antiqued and gilded finish and matching candle sconces. Fan coral placed in front of the mirror amplify the light ethereal quality of the room. There is a French impressionistic painting to the right of mantel, similar in style to the artist, Renoir. The architectural ceiling detail repeats the linearity of the plantation shutters and vertical stripe draperies. The curved lines of the grand piano anchors the room and these curves are repeated in the adjacent built in hutch, French mirror and chandelier. The ebony stained wood floor compliments the color of the dramatic black piano. Similarly, an antique Persian rug's subtle, faded pattern compliments the textured Sisal rug underneath.
