Contemporary. My approach to renovations I've completed (Bedrooms, Bathrooms, Kitchens, Living/Entertaining area, Closets, entrance) has been to make sure every space is fully utilized (the New Yorker in me will never go away) and that keeping my home clean is easy. So open shelving is gorgeous, but not for me ... dust! Small tiles with lots of grout is gorgeous, but in a kitchen or shower, not for me, as it inevitably gets filthy. I believe that when you can, always try to create a space that lets your eye wander without a lot of jumping around. I find it creates a more peaceful and spiritual space...for me. Even with all that, I would love to have one or two crazy pieces (a la Mackenzie Childs LOL). It just depends on what and where. You can't be too serious!
My next project: 1968 House that needs a complete overhaul. I am looking forward to partnering with talented architects and contractors. Over the years I've learned hard lessons from dishonest trades people and I've had the privilege or working with truly talented and kind ones as well. I will miss them so very much!
About me: I love to renovate. So exciting seeing space transformed and made more efficient and visually appealing. Am about to embark on the largest renovation I have ever done and I cannot wait..
