I have heard of the switch plate lady a couple of times, but I don't think that this is her work. That looks really great though. Camouflage it. Chances are that hiding the electrical switches won't be all that easily done. In those cases, especially where the switch is in a tiled backsplash, some camouflage will hide it in plain sight. Just take care that the person doing the camouflaging gets the colors and patterns just right.

For a construction-free solution, you can also try painting a standard switch or outlet or having a skilled painter match the look of your backsplash. A little careful color matching can leave you with a perfectly camouflaged switch plate at a much lower cost than a material replacement. Just be sure any outlets are disconnected from power before painting.

I love that switchplate look and wonder if the artist just carefully applied acrylic paint or if he/she used any kind of primer to prevent the paint from just peeling off the smooth plastic? Would love to contact that artist and ask, can you pls post the contact info?
