Rustic/craftsman/transitional/traditional (sometimes European). I DO NOT like modern, mid century, or eclectic! I am not a fan of "country" or French country (though a white porcelain rooster and a bowl of fake lemons will adorn my kitchen). No over the top color schemes or strange patterns. I like a calm, rustic elegance. No super dark furniture (but medium to deep floors I love). No honey or orange floors or cabinets...bleh (hate that 1980/90's feel)!
Don't want a fully open floor plan but kitchen can have the keeping room right off it in an "open" manner. If 2 stories, great room open to railings above.
NO PARQUET OR WEIRD PATTERN WOOD FLOORING! Just rustic, beautiful wood or engineered in a normal, straight, random pattern!

About me: I am building a portfolio for our dream home. Seems that we like rustic, craftsman, stone, transitional, and some traditional. Slab with block walls will be the construction because here in Florida, frame homes blow away in hurricanes and basements aren't something we do because of the water table. We love white kitchens with window sinks, medium to deep wood floors, and white counters with grey veins (granite or marble, no fake stuff). We'd love a brick barrel ceiling but timbers are also acceptable! Kitchen will have 2 separate slim to medium (we like 36") stainless fridge/freezer (to the left and right of the window sink). Long Island (w large Prep sink) with seating for odd number of people (5 or 7). Drop in gas range, Double ovens, drawer storage for pots & pans, dishes, etc. Epic walk-in pantry (where we'll hide another sink, 2 drawer dishwashers, the microwave and "snack station", a plush stool (temporary refuge from dinner party guests), and a French door refrigerator with bottom drawer freezer)! Huge laundry/mud with 2 washers and 2 dryers (not stacked) a wash sink, and an island (for crafts, homework, etc) benches, cabinets (lockers) and a bathroom to clean away the muck from backyard adventures.
Covered front porch is a must and the home must have character and depth (not like these boxy concrete things here in Florida...yuck). Master suite with double walk-in closets, Oversized 3 car garage, keeping room, man cave, 4-6 bedrooms, 1-2 stories, 4-7 bathrooms, separate workshop, property for outlying buildings (and privacy).
