About me: I live for design ...it is a big part of who I am. We are all different and when I work with a client, I find out about their needs, the colours that they love. I also do the same with their husband/partner and/or their children. I always take into account the other members of the family such as your Dogs and Cats! Being a lover of these beautiful animals, I do have some excellent ideas!
Having a dream kitchen or a dream bathroom and making it into a reality does not have to break the bank!
In addition, I love to help the owners save money and can do many things that will save thousands of dollars in the end. My customers give me a budget that I work with. We blend expensive with not so expensive and the end result is truly unbelievable! In addition, I am sure that some of you have pieces that you cannot part with? Am I right? All it may need is a little TLC. And in the end, it will be a piece that not only looks beautiful, but has a very deep connection with you?
However, enjoy it because it is a conversation piece when family and friends gather in to your Home!!
I have also won awards for interior design but also for out door design, such as gardens & water features etc. I feel it truly brings out the colors of the home. It picks up on the colors of the brick or siding. However, in the end it has to be just what You the customer wants not to mention Curb Appeal it will add $$$ which increases the Cost of your home. Obviously, I do give my input and make many suggestions..
I want, if time permits that the customer comes with me to visit various Garden Nurseries, furniture shops, fabrics that are so beautiful. I want to gain a better perspective of what you like and dislike.
It provides a much greater understanding of what you want!
I prepare drawings for my customers before we go ahead with the projects. Your garden may have different zones too.
Your garden may lay North, South, East or West. Therefore, one must be careful what plants will do well or not. Some will need very little sun, and water, while others thrive in the summer sun but need more water. There are also lots of ideas that can be implemented to add beauty, elegance, comfort, privacy or family functions, which of course is something that is special only to you and your Family. I will also teach you about certain species of trees that give off toxins to other tree roots which eventually will kill your adjacent trees over time.
I have been the proud recipient of the Trillium award for 10 years in a row! Initially, I gave myself a budget of two hundred and fifty dollars and with this, I designed some very beautiful front and back yard gardens, that also won the Trillium Award.
