My next project: My Home office is my next project. I have a 1000-square-foot Area above our garage. While it is substantial, the shapes confound me. There are four dormer windows with at least 5-6 feet walkways. The space is extended with 8-foot high ceilings. There are also a lot of sloped ceiling shapes. Also, two areas in the middle of the room are very sloped to reach only four feet in height—the width of those areas is between 8 and 10 feet long.
About me: I am a budding entrepreneur in Retail, fashion design, and E-Commerce. My work will involve a lot of space (which I have when there isn't a lot of clutter). My space will involve various activities. I thrive in an organized environment. I am visual, so I will require the ability to see what I have. My use of the office will be for the following: work on the computer, downtime to chill, meditate, and gaming. I also write on paper, create content, and create clothing patterns and sketches. This means that I need design space for styling various looks, a place for clothing and accessory storage, a croquis, as well as an area for sewing and pattern-making., I will have meetings in my workspace, both online and in person, with clients, interns, and other stakeholders. While I need only one area to appear professional for Zoom meetings, I need book storage, an area for sketching, and a spot to have coffee in a booth-like area. The lighting is crucial in terms of placement.
