Ballincollig
Ballincollig Project- 4 bed detached house Client was looking to re design her kitchen, sitting room and sun room in her home.
She had decided to knock the wall from the kitchen into the sitting room to make It more open plan.
Client had sun room built on in the 80’s but never used it as it felt cold and not Part of the house. She would pull curtain across it in the evening and didn’t know What to do with it.
My aim was to create a sense of flow and continuity to these three rooms and create a cosy, relaxed space in the sunroom so client could finally Get the use out of it.
Kitchen had been newly painted but to update it I choose plain cream tiles replacing Old ones. Instead of curtains on windows we went with Roman blinds.
The wood Floor was then chosen for the kitchen and other two rooms replacing dated tiles.
Next was sitting room, after choosing wall colours we chose pattern couch and High back chair in neutral colours. To keep costs down I painted existing furniture ie. Bureau, Tv unit and entertainment unit in Annie Sloan chalk paint and varnish.
Next was unused sunroom. We painted all the pine, ceiling and window sills in Antique white colour, the wood floor replaced terracotta tiles and Roman blinds Really added warmth to whole look.
We then added new furniture, matching pattern Chair, large footstool and accessories to finish off look. Client was delighted with finished result and to be finally enjoying sunroom.
