The old kitchen was closed off with a hanging cabinet over the peninsula and French doors closing off the family room addition. Tomco Company replaced the dated oak cabinets with dark maple and the laminate floor with light maple. By reclaiming the dining room for daily dinners, they eliminated the obtrusive kitchen table to make room for additional cabinetry and an eye-level bookcase. With the doors removed, traffic flows freely between the two rooms. The short peninsula is just right for casual meals and entertaining. New appliances, under cabinet lighting, touch-control faucet, extensive roll-out shelves and deep drawers complete the transformation.
