Telluride Ranch Project
The development of the 800+ acre Lizard Head Wilderness Ranch was a multi year project. The first phase was the relocation and reclamation of 3 cabins that were of historic significance on the property. The next phase of the project was designing and building the ranch managers house along with an attached 7 car barn with living quarters above and 2 more agricultural barns for machinery and hay. There was also and existing house on the property that received some remodel work. The area around this house received an impressive landscape upgrade that involved building ponds, rivers and patio areas. Hundreds of lichen covered boulders were hand selected and brought in and placed many with the use of a crane due to their dramatic size. The end result is a natural and stunning extension of the home, a space for entertaining and reflecting on the beauty of the San Juan mountains.
