Kit Pollard added this to The Head of the Bed
This room is so much fun, and it starts with the bed. I love the simple metal structure and, especially, the bright color.

This is smart. Bright colors are always cool when combined nicely. Some of the colors in the framed pictures are repeated in the pillows and that is how everything makes sense.
Kit Pollard added this to Literally Literal: Using Letters & Language to Decorate
This bedroom has long been one of my favorite images here on houzz. I love the creative, fun above-the-bed gallery, and the way letters work with more traditional artwork.
Kathryn added this to Great Color Combination: Yellow and Green
Pillows are another great little touch that you can use when trying to start adding yellow and green to the home. You can use them on beds, couches and chairs.

Bright yellow paint gives the iron bed a modern spin.

I am noticing that many of the art walls that I find appealing are actually made up of a collection of framed art in addition to other items, such as letters and small sculptural pieces. Here is a perfect example with a playful spirit, enhanced by the bright colors seen in the art, the bird hovering to the left of the bed and the happy yellow bedframe.

4. Painted furniture. Paint is the most flexible and economical decorating go-to out there. While the common application is on the walls, try sprucing up a vintage family furniture piece stashed away in the attic, like this iron bed painted mustard yellow. It can make all the difference between grubby and glorious.See more on painting your bed for a colorful night’s sleep
